On the fourteenth day of the second month, one month later than usual, the people slaughtered the Passover lamb. This shamed the priests and Levites, so they purified themselves and brought burnt offerings to the Temple of the Lord.

那些親近耶和華的祭司也要把自己分別為聖，免得耶和華忽然出來擊殺他們。」

猶大王希西家賜給會眾一千頭公牛、七千隻羊；眾領袖也賜給會眾一千頭公牛、一萬隻羊，並有許多祭司將自己分別為聖。

又按家譜的登記，分給他們的小孩、妻子、兒女，給全體會眾；因為他們忠誠，將自己分別為聖。

耶和華對摩西說：「你往百姓那裏去，使他們今天明天分別為聖，又叫他們洗衣服。

「你，人子啊，要將這殿指示以色列家，讓他們量殿的大小，使他們因自己的罪孽羞愧。他們若因自己所做的一切感到羞愧，你就要將殿的規模、樣式、出口、入口，以及有關整體規模的條例、禮儀、律法指示他們，在他們眼前寫下，使他們遵照殿整體的規模和條例去做。

他們聚集他們的弟兄，將自己分別為聖，照着耶和華的話和王的吩咐，進去潔淨耶和華的殿。

當時，所有在那裏的祭司，不論哪個班次供職的，都使自己分別為聖。祭司從聖所出來的時候，

當你接納你的姊姊和妹妹時，你要追念你所行的，自覺慚愧；並且我要將她們賞給你做女兒，卻不是按着我與你所立的約。我要堅定與你所立的約，你就知道我是耶和華，使你在我赦免你一切惡行時，心中追念，自覺慚愧，又因羞辱就不再開口。這是主耶和華說的。」
