又叫親近我的祭司自潔，恐怕我忽然出來擊殺他們。」

猶大王希西家賜給會眾公牛一千隻，羊七千隻為祭物；眾首領也賜給會眾公牛一千隻，羊一萬隻，並有許多的祭司潔淨自己。

又按家譜計算，分給他們會中的妻子、兒女；因他們身供要職，自潔成聖。

耶和華又對摩西說：「你往百姓那裏去，叫他們今天明天自潔，又叫他們洗衣服。

「人子啊，你要將這殿指示以色列家，使他們因自己的罪孽慚愧，也要他們量殿的尺寸。他們若因自己所行的一切事慚愧，你就將殿的規模、樣式、出入之處，和一切形狀、典章、禮儀、法則指示他們，在他們眼前寫上，使他們遵照殿的一切規模典章去做。

起來聚集他們的弟兄，潔淨自己，照着王的吩咐、耶和華的命令，進去潔淨耶和華的殿。

當時，在那裏所有的祭司都已自潔，並不分班供職。

你接待你姊姊和你妹妹的時候，你要追念你所行的，自覺慚愧；並且我要將她們賜你為女兒，卻不是按着前約。我要堅定與你所立的約（你就知道我是耶和華），好使你在我赦免你一切所行的時候，心裏追念，自覺抱愧，又因你的羞辱就不再開口。這是主耶和華說的。」
