猶大王希西迦送給會眾一千頭公牛和七千隻羊，眾官員也送給會眾一千頭公牛和一萬隻羊，並且很多祭司都已潔淨自己。

也按照家譜分給他們的妻子兒女，因為他們誠心潔淨自己。

耶和華對摩西說：「你現在回到他們那裡，吩咐他們今天和明天要潔淨自己，洗淨衣服，

「人子啊，你要向以色列人描述所看見的聖殿，讓他們思考聖殿的設計，使他們為自己的罪惡而羞愧。他們若為自己的行為感到羞愧，你就把殿的構造、出入口等整個設計，以及殿中的一切律例和法則告訴他們，並且當著他們的面寫下來，讓他們忠於設計，遵守律例。

他們召集其他利未人一起潔淨自己，並遵照王的吩咐和耶和華的命令，進去潔淨耶和華的殿。

隨後，祭司退出聖所，所有在場的祭司不分班次都已潔淨自己。

你接納你姊妹的時候，會想起自己的所作所為並自覺羞愧。我要將你姊妹賜給你作女兒，我這樣做並不是出於我與你所立的約。我要和你立約，使你知道我是耶和華。我要赦免你所有的罪，那時你想起這事會羞愧難當，不敢再開口。這是主耶和華說的。』」
