王旨交給眾驛使傳到王的各省，吩咐要在一日之內，在十二月，就是亞達月十三日，把所有的猶大人，無論老少婦孺，都全部毀滅、殺絕、除盡，並且搶奪他們的財產。

他們明知女孩已經死了，就嘲笑他。

於是，騎上為國事而用的快馬的驛使，迫於王命，就急急忙忙出發，諭旨傳遍書珊城。

我的日子過得比信差還快，飛快逝去，不見福樂。

群眾站著觀看，官長們嗤笑說：“他救了別人，如果他是基督，是神所揀選的，讓他救自己吧！”

貪財的法利賽人聽見這些話，就嗤笑耶穌。

又有些人遭受了戲弄、鞭打，甚至捆鎖、監禁；

眾人一聽到死人復活的事，就譏笑他，但有的說：“我們要再聽聽你講這件事！”

末底改奉亞哈隨魯王的名寫了諭旨，又用王的戒指蓋上印；文書由驛使騎上御養的、為國事而用的快馬，傳送到各處去。

但和倫人參巴拉和作臣僕的亞捫人多比雅，以及阿拉伯人基善聽見了，就譏笑我們，藐視我們，說：“你們在幹甚麼？你們要背叛王嗎？”

看管耶穌的人戲弄他，打他，蒙住他的眼睛問他：“你說預言吧，說打你的是誰。”

驛使奉王命急忙出發，御旨從書珊城頒布出去。那時王與哈曼又同坐共飲，書珊城的居民卻非常慌亂。

我這求告神，又蒙他應允的，竟成為朋友的笑柄，公義完全的人竟成為笑柄，
