Therefore, the anger of the Lord has fallen on Judah and Jerusalem; he has made them an object of dread and horror and scorn, as you can see with your own eyes.

So the Lord has become angry with Judah and Jerusalem. He has made them look so bad that everyone is shocked when they see them. They laugh at them. You can see it with your own eyes.

Therefore the wrath of the Lord came on Judah and Jerusalem, and he has made them an object of horror, of astonishment, and of hissing, as you see with your own eyes.

“ That is why the Lord’s anger has fallen upon Judah and Jerusalem. He has made them an object of dread, horror, and ridicule, as you can see with your own eyes.

你就看吧，我一定要差遣人去徵取北方的眾族，永恆主發神諭說，我必差遣人去見我的僕人、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，引他們來攻擊這地和這地的居民，以及四圍這些列國；我必把他們盡行毁滅歸神，使他們成了令人驚駭、令人嗤笑、永被羞辱的對象。

就是耶路撒冷和猶大的城市，它的列王和首領，使這些城市荒廢，成了令人驚駭、令人嗤笑咒詛的對象，正如今日一樣的；

『永恆主必使你在仇敵面前被擊敗；你從一條路出去攻打他們，必由七條路、從他們面前逃跑；你竟要成為地上萬國所引為令人不寒而慄的例子。

我必用刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫來追趕他們，使他們成了地上萬國所不寒而慄的對象，在我放逐他們到的列邦中成了令人咒詛、令人驚駭、嗤笑、羞辱的對象，

人們離棄了永恆主他們列祖之上帝的殿，去服事亞舍拉神木和偶像。因了他們這罪過，就有上帝的震怒臨到了猶大和耶路撒冷。

我必使這城成了令人驚駭、令人嗤笑的地方，凡經過這裏的、都必因這城所受的一切擊傷而驚駭、而嗤笑。

永恆主這麼說：看吧，我必按照在猶大王面前所唸那卷書上所記的一切咒詛降災禍於這地和這地的居民。因為他們離棄了我，向別的神燻祭，好用他們的手所作的一切事來惹我發怒，故此我的烈怒必倒在這地方上頭，總不熄滅。

不但如此，眾祭司領袖和人民也大大地不忠實，像外國人所行一切可憎惡的事那樣；他們污瀆了永恆主的殿、就是永恆主在耶路撒冷所分別為聖的。永恆主他們列祖的上帝因為顧惜他自己的人民和居所，便又及時又屢次地警告、由他的使者經手傳出話來警告他們。他們卻直戲笑上帝的使者，藐視上帝的話，直譏誚他的神言人，以致永恆主向他人民發烈怒、到無法救治。

我必使你們的國土荒涼，甚至你們的仇敵住在裏面的也驚訝。

那麼、永恆主就必使你所受的疫災、和你苗裔所受的疫災非常怪異，就是大而長期的疫災、惡而長期的病症。

『但將來你若不聽永恆主你的上帝的聲音，而謹慎遵行他一切的誡命律例、就是我今日所吩咐你的，以下這一切咒詛就必臨到你，把你趕上。在城裏你必受咒詛，在田間你必受咒詛。你的筐子和你的摶麵盆必受咒詛。你腹中的果子、你土地上的果實、你幼小的牛和肥嫩的羊、必都受咒詛。你進來必受咒詛，你出去也必受咒詛。『永恆主必在你所作的、你下手辦的一切事上、打發咒詛紛亂挫折臨到你身上，直到你消滅，迅速地滅亡，都因你行為之敗壞、就是你離棄了我的緣故。

然而我人民竟忘記了我，去向虛空的神燻祭，在他們的路上、往古的路途上、絆跌，去行偏的路徑，不是填高的道路，致使他們的地成了令人驚駭、老被嗤笑之地；凡經過這裏的、都必驚駭搖頭。

這殿必成為荒堆；凡從這裏經過的人都必驚訝嗤笑、說：「永恆主為甚麼辦這地和這殿到這樣呢？」
