They began the consecration on the first day of the first month, and by the eighth day of the month they reached the portico of the Lord. For eight more days they consecrated the temple of the Lord itself, finishing on the sixteenth day of the first month.

On the first day of the first month they began to set everything in the temple apart to the Lord. By the eighth day of the month they reached the Lord’ s porch. For eight more days they set the Lord’ s temple itself apart to him. They finished on the 16th day of the first month.

塞其廡門、滅其明燈、不在聖所焚香燔祭、奉事以色列族之上帝。

殿前廡、廣與殿等、高十二丈、內飾兼金。

爾必以是月為正月、而作歲首。當告以色列會眾、曰、是月十日、各家必取一羔。若戶小人寡、一羔不能盡、則與比鄰同取、隨其人數、各如其量。取純潔牡羔、生未盈歲者、綿羊山羊俱可。當留至十四日夕、以色列會眾宰是羔、即於食羔之室、取其血以釁左右橛、及門楣。是夕炙其肉、共無酵餅苦菜而食。

大闢以殿廊、府庫、樓室、施恩所之式、示子所羅門。

元年正月、啟耶和華殿門、加以修葺。
