祭司進入永恆主之殿裏面，要潔淨聖殿，將永恆主殿堂裏所發現一切污穢之物拿出來到永恆主之殿的院子；利未人接去，拿出去到外頭汲淪谿谷旁邊。

The priests went into the sanctuary of the Lord to purify it. They brought out to the courtyard of the Lord’s temple everything unclean that they found in the temple of the Lord. The Levites took it and carried it out to the Kidron Valley.

The priests went into the inner part of the house of the Lord to cleanse it, and they brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of the Lord into the court of the house of the Lord. And the Levites took it and carried it out to the brook Kidron.

連他祖母瑪迦、亞撒王也給廢掉、不讓她做太后，因為她為亞舍拉女神造了可憎的像；亞撒把那可憎的像砍了下來，搗得粉碎，燒在汲淪谿谷邊；

你掛帷帳要在鈎子底下，把法櫃抬進帷帳以內那裏，這帷帳就給你們將聖所和至聖所分開。你要把除罪蓋安在至聖所內的法櫃上。

耶穌說了這些話，就同門徒出去，到汲淪谿谷那邊。在那裏有個園子，他和門徒就進去。

祭司將永恆主的約櫃抬到它的所在、就是內殿、至聖所、兩個基路伯的翅膀下面。

在殿中、他從裏面豫備了一間內殿，好將永恆主的約櫃放在那裏。內殿長二十肘，寬二十肘，高二十肘；用精金包上；他也用香柏木作一座祭壇。

遍地都大聲哭；眾民盡都過去；王站在汲淪谿谷；眾民都對着到曠野的路向過去。

耶穌進了殿院，把殿院裏一切賣東西的和買東西的人都趕出，推倒了兌換銀錢的人的桌子，和賣鴿子的人的凳子，對他們說：『經上記着說：「我的殿必須稱為禱告之殿」；你們、倒使它做強盜的巢穴了！』

我必拯救你們脫離你們一切的污穢；我必呼喚五穀，叫它豐登；不使饑荒來苦害你們。

『經學士和法利賽人、假冒為善的人哪，你們有禍啊！因為你們好像粉飾的墓，外面顯得好看；裏面呢、卻滿了死人的骨頭和一切的污穢。

這樣，天上之事的仿本既然必須用這些禮節來潔淨，那天上的本物自然必須用比這些更好的祭獻去潔淨了。因為基督並不是進了人手造的聖所、真聖所的模型、乃是進了上天本境，如今替我們顯在上帝面前的。

因為有帳幕裝備齊全：第一間、那叫做聖所的、裏面有燈臺、桌子和陳設餅。第二幔子後面又有帳幕、那叫做至聖所的、有金香壇和四面包金的約櫃；櫃裏有盛嗎哪的金罐和亞倫發過芽的杖、和兩塊約版；櫃上面有上帝「榮現」之象徵、基路伯、覆蔭着除罪蓋的座。關於這幾件、如今不能一一分開細說。這些物件既這樣裝備齊了，第一間帳幕、祭司們不斷地進去，行盡事奉之禮。至於第二間呢、惟有大祭司一年一次獨自地進去，沒有不帶着血、替自己和人民的過失而供獻的。聖靈以此指明：儘先前帳幕還有地位時，進入天上聖所的路總還沒有顯明出來。

他又造了至聖所，長二十肘、和殿的寬度相等；至聖所的寬度也是二十肘：都蓋上純金；共用了六百擔。

王吩咐大祭司希勒家和副祭司跟把守門檻的、將那為巴力和亞舍拉女神跟天上萬象所造的器皿、都從永恆主殿堂裏搬出來，在耶路撒冷外頭汲淪谿谷的田園裏燒了，把灰燼拿到伯特利去。從前猶大諸王所立拜偶像的祭司、在猶大各城的邱壇和耶路撒冷的四圍燻祭、現在王都罷免他們；也罷免那些向巴力和日月星辰跟天上萬象燻祭的人。他又從永恆主殿裏將亞舍拉神木搬出來到耶路撒冷外頭汲淪谿谷那裏，在汲淪谿谷燒它，打碎成灰，將灰撒在平民的墳墓上。
