要把整幅幔子挂在木柱的金钩上，把约柜抬进幔子里。这幔子把圣幕分为两个部分，幔子里面是至圣所，外面是圣所。要把施恩座放在至圣所里面的约柜上。

耶稣祷告完毕，就带着门徒渡过汲沦溪，进了那里的一个园子。

祭司把耶和华的约柜抬进内殿，即至圣所，放在两个基路伯天使的翅膀下面。

殿的至圣所用来安放耶和华的约柜。至圣所长、宽和高都是九米，里面全贴上纯金，香柏木造的祭坛也包上纯金。

众人离开时，百姓都放声大哭。王带着所有的人过了汲沦溪，向旷野走去。

耶稣进入圣殿，赶走里面做买卖的人，又推翻兑换钱币之人的桌子和卖鸽子之人的凳子。耶稣斥责他们说：“圣经上说，‘我的殿必称为祷告的殿。’你们竟把它变成了贼窝。”

我要拯救你们脱离各样的污秽之事。我要使你们五谷丰登，不让饥荒侵害你们。

“虚伪的律法教师和法利赛人啊，你们有祸了！你们好像粉饰的坟墓，外表好看，里面却装满了死人的骨头和各样污秽之物。

既然仿照天上的样式所造的器具需要用祭牲的血来洁净，天上的原物当然要用更美的祭物来洁净。因为基督并非进入了人手所造的圣所，那只是真圣所的缩影，祂是进入了天堂，替我们来到上帝面前。

建成后的圣幕共分两间，外面的一间称为圣所，摆设了灯台、桌子和圣饼。在第二道幔子后面的那一间叫至圣所，里面有纯金的香坛和包金的约柜。约柜里珍藏着盛吗哪的金罐、亚伦那根发过芽的手杖和两块刻着十诫的石版，上面有荣耀的基路伯天使，高展翅膀盖着约柜上面的施恩座。关于这些事，现在不能一一细说。这些东西都齐备了，祭司们便经常进入圣所，举行敬拜。可是，只有大祭司有资格每年一次独自进入至圣所，而且每次都要端着血进去，为自己和以色列人的过犯献上。圣灵借此指明，只要头一个圣幕还在，进入至圣所的路就还没有开启。

所罗门又动工建造至圣所，长九米，宽九米，与殿的宽度一样，里面共贴了二十一吨纯金。

王吩咐大祭司希勒迦及其副手和殿门守卫清除耶和华殿里用来祭拜巴力、亚舍拉及天上万象的一切器具，将其搬到耶路撒冷城外汲沦溪旁的田野烧掉，又把灰烬带到伯特利。从前，犹大各王任命祭司在犹大各城和耶路撒冷周围的丘坛烧香。现在，约西亚除掉那些祭司，又除掉向巴力、日、月、星辰及天上万象烧香的祭司。他将亚舍拉神像从耶和华的殿里搬到耶路撒冷城外汲沦溪旁烧掉，磨成灰撒在平民的坟墓上。
