But a prophet of the Lord named Oded was there, and he went out to meet the army when it returned to Samaria. He said to them,“ Because the Lord, the God of your ancestors, was angry with Judah, he gave them into your hand. But you have slaughtered them in a rage that reaches to heaven.

But a prophet of the Lord was there. His name was Oded. When the army returned to Samaria, he went out to meet them. He said to them,“ The Lord is the God of your people. He was very angry with Judah. So he handed them over to you. But you have killed them. Your anger reached all the way to heaven.

Oded, a prophet of the LORD, was there. He went to meet the army as they arrived in Samaria and said to them:“ Look, because the LORD God of your ancestors was angry with Judah he handed them over to you. You have killed them so mercilessly that God has taken notice.

But a prophet of Yahweh was there, whose name was Oded; and he went out to meet the army that came to Samaria, and said to them,“ Behold, because Yahweh, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, he has delivered them into your hand, and you have slain them in a rage which has reached up to heaven.

我惱怒我的人民，我使我的產業被褻瀆；我將他們交在你手中，你對他們毫無憐憫，竟把你的軛格外加重於老年人身上。

因為她的罪已纍纍連天了，她所作不對的事、上帝都記得。

說：『我的上帝啊，我抱愧蒙羞，不敢向我的上帝仰面，因為我們的罪愆多到滅頂，我們的罪過大到滔天。

我大大惱怒列國，那些安逸懶散、不可一世的國家；因為我只稍微惱怒我人民，他們竟助長了我所降的災禍。

『主永恆主這麼說：以東對猶大家既行了報仇的事，既向他們報仇而行了大壞事，那麼主永恆主就這麼說；我必伸手攻擊以東，將人和牲口都剪除掉；我必使它荒廢；從提幔直到底但人都要倒斃於刀下。我必將我報復以東的事交於我人民以色列手中；以色列民必照我的怒氣我的烈怒去向以東施行；以東人就認識我的報復的作為：這是主永恆主發神諭說的。『永恆主這麼說：非利士人對猶大人既行了報仇的事，既滿心懷着輕蔑之意而報仇，以永存的仇恨心要毁滅他們，那麼永恆主就這麼說：看吧，我必伸手攻擊非利士人，剪除基利提人，滅盡沿海一帶餘剩之民。我必以烈怒的責打向他們大施報復；我報復他們時，他們就知道我乃是永恆主。』

因你對兄弟雅各所行的強暴、羞愧必籠罩着你，你也必永遠被剪除。當外族人擄掠雅各財物的日子，外人進入他城門，拈鬮要分耶路撒冷，你站在一旁那日子，你也好像敵人之一呀！當你兄弟的日子、他遭遇禍患之日，你不應該瞪着眼看着呀。當猶大人被滅的日子，你不應該因着他們而沾沾自喜呀；當災難的日子、你不應該誇口說大話呀。當我人民遭遇患難的日子，你不應該進他的門呀；當他遭遇患難的日子，你也不應該瞪着眼看他受苦呀；當他遭遇患難的日子，你不應該伸手搶他的財物呀。你不應該站在岔路口，剪除他們中間逃脫的人呀；當災難的日子、你不應該將他們殘存的人交付仇敵呀。因為永恆主的日子已臨近要懲罰列國了。你怎樣行、也必怎樣向你行，你的報應必還歸你頭上。你們猶大人怎樣在我聖山喝了苦杯，列國也必怎樣不斷地喝，邊喝邊說醉話，若無其事的樣子。

因此永恆主向以色列人發怒，就把他們交付於米所波大米王古珊利薩田手中；以色列人服事了古珊利薩田八年。

他便對王說：『永恆主這麼說：「因為你將我要殺滅歸神的人從你手中放走，故此你的性命就必須代替他的性命，你的人民就必須代替他的人民。」』

於是神言人以賽亞來見希西家王，問他說：『這些人說甚麼？他們從哪裏來見你？』希西家說：『他們是從遠地、從巴比倫來的。』以賽亞說：『他們在你家裏看見了甚麼？』希西家說：『凡我家中所有的、他們都看見了；我的寶物中沒有一樣不給他們看的。』

便說：『來吧，我們建造一座城和一座塔；塔頂通天，我們須要為自己立名，免得分散在全地上。』

因此永恆主他的上帝將他交在亞蘭王手裏；亞蘭王擊敗了他，從他的人民中擄了一大羣俘虜，帶到大馬色去。上帝又將他交在以色列王手裏，以色列王大大地擊殺了他。

那神言人走近前來見以色列王，對他說：『來！你奮勇自強吧；你要明白、要看清楚你所要作的；因為到了年頭、亞蘭王必上來攻擊你。』

『人子啊，關於耶路撒冷、推羅既譏笑說：「啊哈！那做列族之民門戶的已經破壞了；她已經轉而屬於我了；我必得豐滿；她卻荒廢了！」那麼主永恆主就這麼說：看吧，推羅，我跟你作對；我必叫許多國上來攻擊你，如同海使它的波浪湧上來一樣。

有禍呀，亞述，我怒氣的棍子！他是我忿怒之杖、在我手中。我打發他來攻擊不拜上帝之國，吩咐他來擊打我所惱怒的人民，來擄掠擄掠物，來掠劫掠劫物，使他們被踐踏、像街上的泥土一樣。但他呢、卻不這樣思想；他心裏並不這樣打算；他心裏倒想毁滅，剪除不少的國。

因為你所擊打的、他們就逼迫；你所擊傷的、他們就加上痛苦。

我沒有坐在嘻嘻笑鬧者的集會中去歡躍呀；因你手的控制，我獨自坐着；因為你使我滿了義怒。我的傷痛為甚麼長久不止呢？我受的擊傷為甚麼無法醫治，拒絕受治療呢？難道你待我、就像欺人的河流，靠不住的溪水麼？

猶大王約沙法平平安安回耶路撒冷，到宮裏。見異象者哈拿尼的兒子耶戶出來和約沙法王見面，對他說：『你哪可幫助惡人、愛那恨惡永恆主的人呢？因此那出於永恆主的震怒就要臨到你了。

因此永恆主向亞瑪謝發怒，就差遣一個神言人來見他，對他說：『這一族民的神既不能援救自己的人民脫離你的手、你為甚麼還尋求他們呢？』神言人向王說話的時候，王對他說：『我們何曾立你做參謀呢？你止住、別說吧！為甚麼硬要被打死呢？』那神言人就止住了；可又再說：『我知道上帝是定下了主意要滅絕你的，因為你行這事，不聽我給你出的主意。』

永恆主說：『你幹了甚麼事？你兄弟的血有聲音從地裏向我哀叫呢。

這時忽有一個神言人走近前來見以色列王亞哈說：『這一大隊蜂擁軍兵你不是都看見了麼？看吧，今天我必將他們交在你手裏，你就知道我乃是永恆主。』
