Oded, a prophet of the LORD, was there. He went to meet the army as they arrived in Samaria and said to them:“ Look, because the LORD God of your ancestors was angry with Judah he handed them over to you. You have killed them so mercilessly that God has taken notice.

But a prophet of Yahweh was there, whose name was Oded; and he went out to meet the army that came to Samaria, and said to them,“ Behold, because Yahweh, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, he has delivered them into your hand, and you have slain them in a rage which has reached up to heaven.

我曾对我的子民发怒，使我的产业被亵渎，我把他们交在你的手里，你却对他们毫无怜悯。你竟把你的轭，重重压在老年人的身上。

因你对兄弟雅各行强暴，你必受羞辱，永被剪除。外地人劫掠雅各财物的日子，外族人进入他的城门，为耶路撒冷抽签；那时你竟袖手旁观，甚至好像他们中间的一分子！你兄弟遭遇祸患的日子，你不该看着不理；犹大人被灭的日子，你不该幸灾乐祸；他们遭难的日子，你不该张口狂傲；我子民遭灾的日子，你不该进入他们的城门；他们遭灾的日子，你不该看着他们受苦；他们遭灾的日子，你不该抢夺他们的财物。你不该站在岔路口，剪除他们中间逃脱的人；他们遭难的日子，你不该把他们生还的人交出来。耶和华的日子临近万国了，人必照你所行的向你施行，你的报应必归到你的头上。你们怎样在我的圣山上喝过苦杯，万国也必照样不住地喝，他们要喝，并且要吞下去，他们就不再存在了。

因此，耶和华的怒气向以色列人发作，把他们完全交在两河之间的亚兰王古珊．利萨田的手中；以色列人服事了古珊．利萨田八年。

先知对王说：“耶和华这样说：因为你把我要灭绝的人从你手中放走，所以要你替他偿命。要你的人民抵偿他的人民。”

后来，以赛亚先知来到希西家王那里，对他说：“这些人说了些什么？他们是从哪里来见你的呢？”希西家说：“他们是从遥远的巴比伦来见我的。”以赛亚说：“他们在你宫中看到了什么呢？”希西家说：“我宫中的一切，他们都看见了。在我宝库内的，我没有一样不给他们看的。”

他们又说：“来，我们建一座城，造一座塔，塔顶要通天。我们要为自己立名，免得分散在全地上。”

因此，耶和华他的神把他交在亚兰王手里；亚兰王击败了他，掳走了他很多人民，带到大马士革去。神又把他交在以色列王手里，以色列王就在犹大进行大屠杀。

那先知前来见以色列王，对他说：“你要自强，留意看看你所要预备的，因为明年春天亚兰王必再上来攻击你。”

“人子啊！因为推罗论到耶路撒冷说：‘哈哈！那万族的门已经破坏了，向我打开了；我必得丰满，她却成了荒场！’所以主耶和华这样说：‘推罗啊！我要与你为敌；我必叫多国上来攻击你，好像海使波浪涌上来一样。

亚述啊！我怒气的棍子，有祸了。他们手中拿着我忿怒的杖。我要差派他去攻击一个不敬虔的国，吩咐他去攻击我恼怒的子民，掳去掠物，抢夺掳物，把他们践踏，像街上的泥土一样。但亚述并没有这样想过，他心里也没有这样打算；他心里倒想毁灭、剪除多国。

因为他们迫害你所击打的人，嘲笑你所击伤的人的痛苦。

我没有坐在欢笑者的集会中一同欢乐；因为你的手在我身上，你使我满了忿怒，我就独自静坐。我的痛苦为什么长久不止呢？我的创伤为什么无法医治，不得痊愈呢？你对我真的像叫人失望、靠不住的溪流吗？

犹大王约沙法平平安安回到耶路撒冷自己的王宫里去。先见哈拿尼的儿子耶户出来迎见约沙法王，对他说：“你怎能帮助恶人，喜爱那恨恶耶和华的人呢？因此耶和华的忿怒必临到你身上。

因此，耶和华向亚玛谢发怒，于是差派一位先知去见他，对他说：“这民族的神不能拯救自己的人民脱离你的手，你为什么还寻求它们呢？”先知向王讲话的时候，王对他说：“我们立了你作王的谋士吗？住口吧！你要挨打吗？”先知就住口，可是又说：“我知道神已定意消灭你，因为你作了这事，又不听从我的劝戒。”

耶和华说：“你作了什么事呢？你弟弟的血有声音从地里向我呼叫。

这时，忽然有一个先知前来见以色列王亚哈，说：“耶和华这样说：‘你看见这些强大的军兵吗？看啊，今天我必把他们交在你手里，你就知道我是耶和华。’”
