He burned sacrifices in the Valley of Ben Hinnom and sacrificed his children in the fire, engaging in the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites.

He burned sacrifices in the Valley of Ben Hinnom. He sacrificed his children in the fire to other gods. He followed the practices of the nations. The Lord hates these practices. The Lord had driven out those nations to make room for the people of Israel.

and he made offerings in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom and burned his sons as an offering, according to the abominations of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel.

He offered sacrifices in the valley of Ben Hinnom, even sacrificing his own sons in the fire. In this way, he followed the detestable practices of the pagan nations the Lord had driven from the land ahead of the Israelites.

He burned incense in Ben Hinnom Valley and burned his children in the fire, imitating the detestable practices of the nations the LORD had dispossessed before the Israelites.

並且在欣嫩子谷把自己的兒女用火燒為祭，又占卜、行邪術、用法術、交鬼和通靈；作了很多耶和華看為惡的事，惹他發怒。

他行耶和華看為惡的事，隨從耶和華在以色列人面前趕走的列國所行可厭惡的事。

你不可把你的子孫獻給摩洛，也不可褻瀆你神的名；我是耶和華。

再上到欣嫩子谷，到達耶布斯南面的山坡，耶布斯就是耶路撒冷；又上到欣嫩子谷西邊的山頂，就是在利乏音的北端；

他又污穢在欣嫩子谷的陀斐特，不許人在那裡將兒女焚燒獻給摩洛（“將兒女焚燒獻給摩洛”直譯是“使兒女經過進入火中給摩洛”）。

‘耶路撒冷的房屋和猶大列王的宮殿，都要像陀斐特一樣成為不潔；人曾在這一切房屋宮殿的屋頂上，向天上的萬象燒香，向別神澆奠祭。’”

“你到了耶和華你的神要賜給你的那地的時候，那些外族人可厭可惡的事，你不可學習去行。

出到欣嫩子谷，哈珥西（“哈珥西”意即“瓦片”）門的入口，在那裡你要宣告我將對你說的話。你要說：‘猶大列王和耶路撒冷的居民哪！你們要聽耶和華的話。萬軍之耶和華以色列的神這樣說：看哪！我必使災禍臨到這地方；凡聽見的，都必耳鳴。因為他們離棄了我，把這地方玷污了，在這地方向列神燒香。這些神是他們和他們的列祖，以及猶大列王所不認識的；他們又使這地方灑滿無辜人的血。他們築了巴力的邱壇，好用火焚燒自己的兒女，作燔祭獻給巴力。這不是我吩咐的，我沒有提說過，也沒有在我心裡想過。因此，看哪！日子快到，這地方必不再稱為陀斐特或欣嫩子谷，而要稱為殺戮谷。’這是耶和華的宣告。

你不可向耶和華你的神這樣行，因為耶和華恨惡的一切可厭惡的事，他們都向他們的神行了，甚至把自己的兒女用火焚燒，獻給他們的神。

“他們在欣嫩子谷中，建造了陀斐特的邱壇，用火焚燒自己的兒女；這不是我吩咐的，我也沒有在心裡想過。因此，看哪！日子快到，人必不再稱這地方為陀斐特或欣嫩子谷，卻要稱它為‘殺戮谷’；人必在陀斐特埋葬屍體，甚至無處可容。”這是耶和華的宣告。

反倒跟隨以色列諸王的道路，甚至焚燒他的兒子為祭，好像耶和華在以色列人面前驅逐的外族人所行可憎惡的事，

他們在欣嫩子谷中，建造了巴力的邱壇，使自己的兒女經火獻給摩洛。這不是我吩咐的，也沒有在我心裡想過；他們竟行了這可憎惡的事，使猶大犯罪。’

耶和華喜悅千千的公羊，或是萬萬的油河嗎？為我的過犯，我可以獻上我的長子嗎？為我的罪惡，獻上我親生的孩子嗎？

在你衣襟上又發現無辜窮人的血，並且你不是發現他們在挖窟窿時殺他們的。雖然這樣，

他們把自己的兒女祭祀鬼魔。他們流了無辜人的血，就是他們自己兒女的血，把他們祭祀迦南的偶像；那地就被血污穢了。

你更把你的兒女，就是你給我所生的兒女，獻給它們作食物；你所行的淫亂還算是小事嗎？你竟宰殺了我的兒女，使他們經火，獻給它們。
