The men designated by name took the prisoners, and from the plunder they clothed all who were naked. They provided them with clothes and sandals, food and drink, and healing balm. All those who were weak they put on donkeys. So they took them back to their fellow Israelites at Jericho, the City of Palms, and returned to Samaria.

Azariah, Berekiah, Jehizkiah and Amasa received the prisoners. From the goods that had been taken, they gave clothes to everyone who was naked. They gave them clothes, sandals, food, drink and healing lotion. They put all the weak people on donkeys. They took them back to their relatives at Jericho. Then they returned to Samaria. Jericho was also known as the City of Palm Trees.

于是，以法莲人的几个族长，就是约哈难的儿子亚撒利雅、米实利末的儿子比利家、沙龙的儿子耶希西家、哈得莱的儿子亚玛撒，起来拦挡出兵回来的人，

若是弟兄或是姐妹，赤身露体，又缺了日用的饮食；你们中间有人对他们说：“平平安安地去吧！愿你们穿得暖，吃得饱”，却不给他们身体所需用的，这有什么益处呢？

又有行善的名声，就如养育儿女，接待远人，洗圣徒的脚，救济遭难的人，竭力行各样善事。

所以，“你的仇敌若饿了，就给他吃，若渴了，就给他喝；因为你这样行就是把炭火堆在他的头上。”你不可为恶所胜，反要以善胜恶。

耶稣上了岸，就有城里一个被鬼附着的人迎面而来。这个人许久不穿衣服，不住房子，只住在坟茔里。

“只是我告诉你们这听道的人，你们的仇敌，要爱他！恨你们的，要待他好！

彼得就起身和他们同去；到了，便有人领他上楼。众寡妇都站在彼得旁边哭，拿多加与她们同在时所做的里衣外衣给他看。

我们坚固的人应该担代不坚固人的软弱，不求自己的喜悦。

因为我饿了，你们给我吃，渴了，你们给我喝；我作客旅，你们留我住；我赤身露体，你们给我穿；我病了，你们看顾我；我在监里，你们来看我。’义人就回答说：‘主啊，我们什么时候见你饿了，给你吃，渴了，给你喝？什么时候见你作客旅，留你住，或是赤身露体，给你穿？又什么时候见你病了，或是在监里，来看你呢？’王要回答说：‘我实在告诉你们，这些事你们既做在我这弟兄中一个最小的身上，就是做在我身上了。’王又要向那左边的说：‘你们这被咒诅的人，离开我！进入那为魔鬼和他的使者所预备的永火里去！因为我饿了，你们不给我吃，渴了，你们不给我喝；我作客旅，你们不留我住；我赤身露体，你们不给我穿；我病了，我在监里，你们不来看顾我。’他们也要回答说：‘主啊，我们什么时候见你饿了，或渴了，或作客旅，或赤身露体，或病了，或在监里，不伺候你呢？’王要回答说：‘我实在告诉你们，这些事你们既不做在我这弟兄中一个最小的身上，就是不做在我身上了。’

众人出来要看是什么事；到了耶稣那里，看见鬼所离开的那人，坐在耶稣脚前，穿着衣服，心里明白过来，他们就害怕。

造我在腹中的，不也是造他吗？将他与我抟在腹中的岂不是一位吗？“我若不容贫寒人得其所愿，或叫寡妇眼中失望，或独自吃我一点食物，孤儿没有与我同吃；从幼年时孤儿与我同长，好像父子一样；我从出母腹就扶助寡妇。）我若见人因无衣死亡，或见穷乏人身无遮盖；我若不使他因我羊的毛得暖，为我祝福；我若在城门口见有帮助我的，举手攻击孤儿；情愿我的肩头从缺盆骨脱落，我的膀臂从羊矢骨折断。因神降的灾祸使我恐惧；因他的威严，我不能妄为。

凡有世上财物的，看见弟兄穷乏，却塞住怜恤的心，爱神的心怎能存在他里面呢？小子们哪，我们相爱，不要只在言语和舌头上，总要在行为和诚实上。
