The men designated by name took the prisoners, and from the plunder they clothed all who were naked. They provided them with clothes and sandals, food and drink, and healing balm. All those who were weak they put on donkeys. So they took them back to their fellow Israelites at Jericho, the City of Palms, and returned to Samaria.

Azariah, Berekiah, Jehizkiah and Amasa received the prisoners. From the goods that had been taken, they gave clothes to everyone who was naked. They gave them clothes, sandals, food, drink and healing lotion. They put all the weak people on donkeys. They took them back to their relatives at Jericho. Then they returned to Samaria. Jericho was also known as the City of Palm Trees.

並且必須有美好行為的名聲，就如養育孩子、接待客旅、洗聖徒的腳、幫助受患難的人、追隨一切美善的工作。

不但如此，「如果你的敵人餓了，就給他吃；如果他渴了，就給他喝；因為你這樣做，就是把炭火堆在他的頭上。」不要被惡所勝，反要以善勝惡。

耶穌剛上岸，那城裡一個有鬼魔附身的人就迎面而來。這個人已經很長時間不穿衣服，不住在家裡，而住在墓地裡。

「然而我告訴你們這些正在聽的人：要愛你們的敵人，善待那些恨你們的人；

彼得就起身陪他們一起去。到了以後，他們把他領到樓上的房間。所有的寡婦都站在彼得旁邊哭，把多卡絲與她們在一起的時候所縫製的衣服和袍子拿給他看。

我們堅強的人，應該擔當不堅強人的軟弱，不求自己的喜悅。

因為我餓了，你們給我吃；我渴了，你們給我喝；我在異鄉時，你們收留了我；我衣不蔽體，你們給我穿；我患了病，你們照顧我；我在監獄裡，你們探望我。』「那時義人將回答說：『主啊，我們什麼時候見你餓了就給你吃，見你渴了就給你喝呢？我們什麼時候見你在異鄉就收留了你，見你衣不蔽體就給你穿呢？又什麼時候見你患病或在監獄裡，就到你那裡去呢？』「王要回答他們，說：『我確實地告訴你們：你們為我這些弟兄中最小的一個所做的事，就是為我做了。』那時王要對在左邊的人說：『你們這些被詛咒的人！離開我！進到那已經為魔鬼和他的使者們所預備好的永遠的火裡去！因為我餓了，你們沒有給我吃；我渴了，你們沒有給我喝；我在異鄉時，你們沒有收留我；我衣不蔽體，你們沒有給我穿；我患了病、在監獄裡，你們沒有照顧我。』「那時他們也要回答說：『主啊，我們什麼時候見你餓了，或渴了，或在異鄉，或衣不蔽體，或患了病，或在監獄裡，而沒有服事你呢？』「那時王要回答他們，說：『我確實地告訴你們：你們沒有為我這些弟兄中最小的一個所做的事，也就是沒有為我做。』

人們就出來，要看所發生的事，他們來到耶穌那裡，看見鬼魔所離開的那人，穿著衣服，神志清醒地坐在耶穌腳前，他們就懼怕起來。

但如果有人擁有世界的財產，看見自己的弟兄有需要，卻封閉情感，那麼，屬神的愛怎麼能住在他裡面呢？孩子們哪，讓我們不在語言或口頭上相愛，而在行為和真理中相愛，
