He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father Uzziah had done, but unlike him he did not enter the temple of the Lord. The people, however, continued their corrupt practices.

Jotham did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father Uzziah had done. But Jotham didn’t enter the Lord’ s temple as Uzziah had done. The people, however, continued to do very sinful things.

And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord according to all that his father Uzziah had done, except he did not enter the temple of the Lord. But the people still followed corrupt practices.

Jotham did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight. He did everything his father, Uzziah, had done, except that Jotham did not sin by entering the Temple of the Lord. But the people continued in their corrupt ways.

He did what was right in the LORD’s sight just as his father Uzziah had done. In addition, he didn’t enter the LORD’s sanctuary, but the people still behaved corruptly.

我因惧怕你，肉体战栗；我害怕你的典章。

乌西雅既强盛，就心高气傲，以致败坏。他干犯耶和华—他的神，进耶和华的殿，要在香坛上烧香。亚撒利雅祭司率领八十名勇敢的耶和华的祭司，跟随他进去。他们阻止乌西雅王，对他说：“乌西雅啊，给耶和华烧香不是你的事，而是亚伦子孙的事，他们是分别为圣来烧香的祭司。你出圣殿吧！因为你犯了罪，耶和华神必不使你得尊荣。”乌西雅发怒，手拿香炉要烧香。他在耶和华殿中香坛旁向众祭司发怒的时候，他的额头在众祭司面前忽然长出麻风。亚撒利雅祭司长和众祭司转向他，看哪，他的额头长出麻风，就催他离开那里；他自己也急速出去，因为耶和华降灾于他。乌西雅王患麻风直到死的那日；他因为染上麻风，就住在隔离的行宫里，与耶和华的殿隔绝。他儿子约坦管理王的家，治理这地的百姓。

其余的人没有一个敢接近他们，百姓却尊重他们。
