你走近亚扪人面前的时候，不可敌视他们，也不可与他们争执；亚扪人的地我不赐给你们作产业，因为我已经把那地赐给了罗得的子孙作产业。

我必使你成为大国，赐福给你，使你的名为大，你也必使别人得福，

他比万人都有智慧，胜过以斯拉人以探和玛曷的三个儿子希幔、甲各、达大的智慧。他的名声传遍了四周列国。

亚扪人拿辖上来，安营攻击基列．雅比。所有的雅比人都对拿辖说：“你与我们立约，我们就服事你。”
