八月之望、即以己意所定之期、詣伯特利所作之壇、為以色列族設筵、登壇焚香、耶羅波安立於壇側、欲焚香時、適有上帝僕、奉耶和華命、自猶大至伯特利、奉耶和華命、向壇而呼曰、壇乎、壇乎、耶和華云、大衛家必生一子、名約西亞、彼將取崇邱之祭司、焚香於爾上者、獻於爾上、人之骸骨、亦必焚於爾上焉、是日上帝僕示預兆曰、此壇必裂、灰必傾、是乃耶和華所言之預兆、王聞上帝僕向伯特利壇所呼之言、自壇伸手曰、執之、所伸之手即枯、不能縮、

遂各執鼎、燃火置香、與摩西亞倫立於會幕門、

明日執鼎盛火、置香於耶和華前、耶和華所簡者、即以為聖、汝利未裔逾分矣、
