他們上來攻打猶大，侵入境內，掠去了王宮的一切財物，又擄去了他的眾子和妻妾；除了他最小的兒子約哈斯以外，沒有給他留下一個兒子。

但耶書崙肥胖了，就踢跳，‘你肥胖了，你粗壯了，你飽滿了，’他離棄了造他的神，輕看了救他的磐石。他們以外族人的神激動了神的憤恨，以可憎之事惹起了他的怒氣。他們獻祭給鬼魔（他們不是神），就是他們從來不認識的神，是近來新興的，是你們的列祖所不懼怕的。

伯沙撒喝酒歡暢的時候，下令把他先祖尼布甲尼撒從耶路撒冷聖殿裡掠取的金銀器皿拿來，好讓他和他的大臣、妻妾、妃嬪用這些器皿來喝酒。於是人把從耶路撒冷聖殿裡，就是神的殿裡，掠來的金器皿拿來；王和他的大臣、妻妾、妃嬪就用這些器皿來喝酒。他們喝酒，讚美那些用金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石所做的神。

這亞哈斯王在急難的時候，竟越發冒犯耶和華。他向擊敗了他的大馬士革的神獻祭，說：“亞蘭王的神幫助了他們，我也向它們獻祭，使它們也幫助我。”它們卻使他和以色列人滅亡。亞哈斯把神殿裡的器皿收集起來，把這些神殿裡的器皿都擊碎了，又封閉了耶和華殿的各門，並且在耶路撒冷的各個角落建造祭壇。

竟高抬自己，敵對天上的主，使人把他殿中的器皿拿到你面前來，你和你的大臣、妻妾、妃嬪用這些器皿喝酒；你又讚美那些不能看見、不能聽見、甚麼都不能知道，用金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石所做的神，卻沒有把榮耀歸給那手中有你的氣息，和那掌管你一切命途的神。

約阿施對眾祭司說：“所有分別為聖，奉到耶和華殿裡的銀子，或是各被數點之人的贖價，或是各種的贖價，或是各人隨著心意，奉到耶和華殿裡的銀子，

然而有一件事我要責備你，就是你容讓那自稱是先知的婦人耶洗別，教導和引誘我的眾僕人行淫亂，吃祭過偶像的食物。

那時，這不法的人必要顯露出來。主耶穌要用自己口中的氣除掉他，以自己再來所顯現的光輝消滅他。

其實她不知道，是我把五穀、新酒、橄欖油賜給了她；甚至他們用來製造巴力的金銀，也是我大量給她的；因此，到了收割的時候，到了出酒的季節，我必收回五穀和新酒；用來給她遮蔽裸體的羊毛和麻布，我也必奪回。

你又拿了我送給你那些美麗的金器銀器，為自己鑄造男人的像，與那些像行淫。你又拿你的刺繡衣服，蓋在它們身上，並且把我的油和香料都擺在它們面前。你把我賜給你的食物，就是我給你吃的細麵、油和蜂蜜，都擺在它們面前作馨香的祭物。這是主耶和華的宣告。你更把你的兒女，就是你給我所生的兒女，獻給它們作食物；你所行的淫亂還算是小事嗎？你竟宰殺了我的兒女，使他們經火，獻給它們。

以斯帖回答：“這敵人和仇人，就是這惡人哈曼！”哈曼在王和王后面前立刻驚惶萬分。

她在拜眾巴力的日子，向他們燒香，佩戴耳環首飾，打扮自己，跟隨她那些愛人，卻把我遺忘，所以我必懲罰她。”這是耶和華說的。

義人的名必蒙稱讚，惡人的名字卻必腐朽。
