他们上来攻打犹大，侵入境内，掠去了王宫的一切财物，又掳去了他的众子和妻妾；除了他最小的儿子约哈斯以外，没有给他留下一个儿子。

但耶书仑肥胖了，就踢跳，‘你肥胖了，你粗壮了，你饱满了，’他离弃了造他的神，轻看了救他的磐石。他们以外族人的神激动了神的愤恨，以可憎之事惹起了他的怒气。他们献祭给鬼魔（他们不是神），就是他们从来不认识的神，是近来新兴的，是你们的列祖所不惧怕的。

伯沙撒喝酒欢畅的时候，下令把他先祖尼布甲尼撒从耶路撒冷圣殿里掠取的金银器皿拿来，好让他和他的大臣、妻妾、妃嫔用这些器皿来喝酒。于是人把从耶路撒冷圣殿里，就是神的殿里，掠来的金器皿拿来；王和他的大臣、妻妾、妃嫔就用这些器皿来喝酒。他们喝酒，赞美那些用金、银、铜、铁、木、石所做的神。

这亚哈斯王在急难的时候，竟越发冒犯耶和华。他向击败了他的大马士革的神献祭，说：“亚兰王的神帮助了他们，我也向它们献祭，使它们也帮助我。”它们却使他和以色列人灭亡。亚哈斯把神殿里的器皿收集起来，把这些神殿里的器皿都击碎了，又封闭了耶和华殿的各门，并且在耶路撒冷的各个角落建造祭坛。

竟高抬自己，敌对天上的主，使人把他殿中的器皿拿到你面前来，你和你的大臣、妻妾、妃嫔用这些器皿喝酒；你又赞美那些不能看见、不能听见、什么都不能知道，用金、银、铜、铁、木、石所做的神，却没有把荣耀归给那手中有你的气息，和那掌管你一切命途的神。

约阿施对众祭司说：“所有分别为圣，奉到耶和华殿里的银子，或是各被数点之人的赎价，或是各种的赎价，或是各人随着心意，奉到耶和华殿里的银子，

然而有一件事我要责备你，就是你容让那自称是先知的妇人耶洗别，教导和引诱我的众仆人行淫乱，吃祭过偶像的食物。

那时，这不法的人必要显露出来。主耶稣要用自己口中的气除掉他，以自己再来所显现的光辉消灭他。

其实她不知道，是我把五谷、新酒、橄榄油赐给了她；甚至他们用来制造巴力的金银，也是我大量给她的；因此，到了收割的时候，到了出酒的季节，我必收回五谷和新酒；用来给她遮蔽裸体的羊毛和麻布，我也必夺回。

你又拿了我送给你那些美丽的金器银器，为自己铸造男人的像，与那些像行淫。你又拿你的刺绣衣服，盖在它们身上，并且把我的油和香料都摆在它们面前。你把我赐给你的食物，就是我给你吃的细面、油和蜂蜜，都摆在它们面前作馨香的祭物。这是主耶和华的宣告。你更把你的儿女，就是你给我所生的儿女，献给它们作食物；你所行的淫乱还算是小事吗？你竟宰杀了我的儿女，使他们经火，献给它们。

以斯帖回答：“这敌人和仇人，就是这恶人哈曼！”哈曼在王和王后面前立刻惊惶万分。

她在拜众巴力的日子，向他们烧香，佩戴耳环首饰，打扮自己，跟随她那些爱人，却把我遗忘，所以我必惩罚她。”这是耶和华说的。

义人的名必蒙称赞，恶人的名字却必腐朽。
