現在，君王啊，應當謹慎！世上的審判官哪，要聽勸戒！當存敬畏的心事奉耶和華，又當戰兢而快樂。

耶何耶大死後，猶大的眾領袖來叩拜王，那時王就聽了他們。他們離棄耶和華－他們列祖神的殿，去事奉亞舍拉和偶像；因他們這罪，就有憤怒臨到猶大和耶路撒冷。

伸冤報應在我，到了時候他們會失腳。因為他們遭難的日子近了，他們的厄運快要臨到。

我曾說：「你們是諸神，都是至高者的兒子。然而，你們要死去，與世人一樣，要仆倒，像任何一位王子一般。」

那先知靠近以色列王，對他說：「去吧，你當自強，看清楚，也要知道你所要做的事，因為再過一年，亞蘭王會上來攻擊你。」

義人見仇敵遭報就歡喜，他要在惡人的血中洗腳。因此，人必說：「義人誠然有善報，在地上果然有施行審判的神！」

過了一年，便‧哈達果然召集亞蘭人上亞弗去，要與以色列人打仗。
