Then the Spirit of God came on Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest. He stood before the people and said,“ This is what God says:‘ Why do you disobey the Lord’s commands? You will not prosper. Because you have forsaken the Lord, he has forsaken you.’”

Then the Spirit of God came on Zechariah the priest. He was the son of Jehoiada. Zechariah stood in front of the people. He told them,“ God says,‘ Why do you refuse to obey my commands? You will not have success. You have deserted me. So I have deserted you.’ ”

Then the Spirit of God clothed Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, and he stood above the people, and said to them,“ Thus says God,‘ Why do you break the commandments of the Lord, so that you cannot prosper? Because you have forsaken the Lord, he has forsaken you.’”

Then the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest. He stood before the people and said,“ This is what God says: Why do you disobey the Lord’s commands and keep yourselves from prospering? You have abandoned the Lord, and now he has abandoned you!”

The Spirit of God enveloped Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest. He stood above the people and said to them,“ This is what God says,‘ Why are you transgressing the LORD’s commands so that you do not prosper? Because you have abandoned the LORD, he has abandoned you.’”

Then the Spirit of God covered Zechariah, the son of Jehoiada the priest like clothing; and he stood above the people and said to them,“ This is what God has said,‘ Why do you break the commandments of the Lord and do not prosper? Because you have abandoned the Lord, He has also abandoned you.’ ”

Then the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, who stood above the people, and said to them,“ Thus says God:‘ Why do you transgress the commandments of the Lord, so that you cannot prosper? Because you have forsaken the Lord, He also has forsaken you.’”

And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest; and he stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of Jehovah, so that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken Jehovah, he hath also forsaken you.

The Spirit of God took control of Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest. He stood above the people and said to them,“ This is what God says,‘ Why are you transgressing the Lord’s commands and you do not prosper? Because you have abandoned the Lord, He has abandoned you.’”

And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you.

God’s Spirit energized Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest. He stood up before the people and said to them,“ This is what God says:‘ Why are you violating the commands of the LORD? You will not be prosperous! Because you have rejected the LORD, he has rejected you!’”

The Spirit of God came on Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest; and he stood above the people, and said to them,“ God says,‘ Why do you disobey Yahweh’s commandments, so that you can’t prosper? Because you have forsaken Yahweh, he has also forsaken you.’”

當時，耶和華的靈在會眾中臨到利未人亞薩的後裔，瑪探雅的玄孫、耶利的曾孫、比拿雅的孫子、撒迦利亞的兒子雅哈悉；

摩西說：“你們為甚麼又違背耶和華的命令呢？這事必不能成功。

神的靈降在俄德的兒子亞撒利雅身上，亞撒利雅就出來迎接亞撒，對他說：“亞撒和猶大、便雅憫所有的人哪！請聽我說。你們跟隨耶和華，耶和華就和你們同在；你們尋求他，就必給你們尋見；你們離棄他，他必離棄你們。

當時，神的靈降在那三十個勇士的首領亞瑪撒身上，他就說：“大衛啊，我們是來歸從你；耶西的兒子啊，我們是來跟隨你；願你平平安安，願幫助你的人也都平安，因為你的神幫助了你。”於是大衛收留了他們，立他們作軍長。

所以，從義人亞伯的血起，到巴拉加的兒子撒迦利亞的血為止，他就是你們在聖所和祭壇中間所殺的，所有義人在地上所流的血，都要歸在你們身上。

“你這一切災禍是你的所作所為作成的，這就是你的惡果，實在是苦，直透心底。”

人就必回答：‘是因為他們離棄了耶和華他們列祖的神的約，就是耶和華把他們從埃及地領出來的時候，與他們所立的；去事奉別的神，向他們叩拜，就是他們不認識的神，也是耶和華沒有給他們指定要拜的神；

“將來如果有人問：‘耶和華我們的神，為甚麼向我們行這一切事呢？’你就要對他們說：‘你們怎樣離棄我，在你們的土地上事奉外族人的神，你們也要在不屬你們的土地上照樣服事外族人。’”

但他們不肯聽從，反而硬著頸項，充耳不聞（“反而硬著頸項，充耳不聞”直譯是“轉着固執的肩膊，使自己的耳朵發沉不聽”）。他們使自己的心剛硬如金鋼石，不肯聽從律法和萬軍之耶和華藉著他的靈、透過從前的先知所說的話。因此，萬軍之耶和華非常忿怒。我曾呼喚他們，他們不聽；照樣，將來他們呼求我，我也不聽。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。我用旋風把他們吹散到他們不認識的列國去，他們留下的地就荒涼了，以致無人來往經過，因為他們使這美好之地變為荒涼了。”

撒母耳對掃羅說：“你作了糊塗事了！你沒有謹守耶和華你的神吩咐你的命令。如果你謹守，耶和華就必在以色列中堅立你的王位，直到永遠。但現在你的王位必不長久，耶和華已經為自己找到一個合他心意的人，立他作自己子民的領袖，因為你沒有謹守耶和華所吩咐你的。”

你為甚麼藐視耶和華的話，行他看為惡的事呢？你用刀擊殺了赫人烏利亞，娶了他的妻子作你的妻子，你藉著亞捫人的刀殺了烏利亞。所以，從今以後，刀劍必不離開你的家，因為你藐視了我，娶了赫人烏利亞的妻子作你的妻子。’

你們的罪孽使這些都離開了，你們的罪惡剝奪了你們的幸福。

“至於你，我兒所羅門哪，你要認識耶和華你父親的神，一心樂意事奉他，因為耶和華鑒察萬人的心，知道人的一切心思意念。你若是尋求他，就必尋見；你若是離棄他，他必永遠丟棄你。

於是他們把王子領出來，給他戴上王冠，又把約書交給他，立他為王；耶何耶大和他的眾子用膏膏他，並且說：“願王萬歲！”

耶和華的靈降在基甸身上，他就吹角；亞比以謝族都應召來跟從他。

你自己的罪惡要懲罰你，你背道的事必責備你。你當知道，也要明白，離棄耶和華你的神，沒有畏懼我的心，是邪惡的，是痛苦的。”這是主萬軍之耶和華的宣告。
