亞瑪謝行善於主前、第心不專誠、

然彼仍以口欺罔天主、以舌向主說誑、向主無恆心、無誠心以守主約、

播於磽地者、指人聽道、即喜受之、惟內無根、亦祇暫時、及為道而遇難窘逐、即躓蹶矣、

耶何耶大卒後、猶大諸牧伯來朝拜於王、王從其所請、遂棄主其列祖之天主殿、奉事諸亞舍拉與偶像、因此罪、主震怒、降災於猶大及耶路撒冷、主遣先知勸之歸主、先知警戒之、而彼不聽、耶何耶大子撒迦利雅感天主之神、立於民前、告之曰、天主如是云、爾違主命何故、爾必不亨通、爾棄主、主亦棄爾、民聽王命、謀害撒迦利雅、在主殿之院中以石擊之死、約阿施王忘撒迦利雅父耶何耶大待己之恩、而殺其子、彼死時呼曰、願主鑒察伸冤、

主曰、此民但以口親近我、以唇尊敬我、而心則遠離我、其敬畏我者、不過守習學世人所傳之誡而已、

約阿施在祭司耶何耶大訓誨之時、行善於主前、

民始信服主言、歌詩頌揚主、閱時未久、又忘主之作為、不候主之意旨、
