Although the Lord sent prophets to the people to bring them back to him, and though they testified against them, they would not listen.

The Lord sent prophets to the people to bring them back to him. The prophets told the people what they were doing wrong. But the people wouldn’t listen.

因为这子民的心麻木了，他们充耳不闻，眼睛闭着；免得他们眼睛看见，耳朵听见，心里领悟，回转过来，我就使他们痊愈。’“但你们的眼睛是蒙福的，因为看见了；你们的耳朵是蒙福的，因为听见了。

因为他是我们的神，我们是他牧场的子民，是他手下的羊群。但愿你们今天听他的声音：“你们不可硬着心，像在米利巴，在旷野中玛撒的日子一样；

“可是亚伯拉罕对他说：‘如果他们不听从摩西和先知们，就算有人从死人中复活，他们也不会被说服的。’

凡是有耳的，就应当听！”

你们要侧耳听，来到我这里；你们要听，就得以存活。我必与你们立永远的约，就是给大卫的信实慈爱的约。

“你们有祸了！因为你们建造先知的坟墓，而你们的祖先是杀害他们的。因此对你们祖先的行为，你们是见证人，你们也赞同，因为他们杀害了先知们，你们就建造先知的坟墓。为此，神的智慧也曾说：‘我将要差派先知和使徒到他们那里去。有些他们要杀害，有些他们要逼迫。’这是为要向这世代追讨那从创世以来所流的众先知的血，就是从亚伯的血起，直到在祭坛和圣所之间被杀的撒迦利亚的血为止。“是的，我告诉你们：这世代将要为此被追讨。

你们要侧耳，听我的声音；要留心，听我的言语！

接着，耶稣开始对民众讲这个比喻：“有一个人栽种了一个葡萄园，把它租给一些农夫，然后就出外旅行，去了许久。到了收获的季节，他就派了一个奴仆到那些农夫那里去，好让他们从葡萄园的果子中把当纳的交给他。但那些农夫打了他，叫他空手回去。园主又派另一个奴仆去，可是他们把那个人也打了，并且侮辱他，叫他空手回去。于是，他又派了第三个人去，他们又把这个人打伤，赶了出去。“葡萄园的主人就说：‘我该做什么呢？我要派遣我的爱子，或许他们会尊重他。’“可是那些农夫看见他，就彼此讨论说：‘这是继承人。我们把他杀了，那继业就成为我们的了。’于是他们把他扔出葡萄园外，杀了。“那么，葡萄园的主人会怎么对待他们呢？
