你这论断人的，无论你是谁，也无可推诿。你在什么事上论断人，就在什么事上定自己的罪；因你这论断人的，自己所行却和别人一样。我们知道这样行的人，神必照真理审判他。

义人增多，民就喜乐；恶人掌权，民就叹息。

耶和华晓谕摩西说：“你要用银子做两枝号，都要锤出来的，用以招聚会众，并叫众营起行。吹这号的时候，全会众要到你那里，聚集在会幕门口。若单吹一枝，众首领，就是以色列军中的统领，要聚集到你那里。吹出大声的时候，东边安的营都要起行。二次吹出大声的时候，南边安的营都要起行。他们将起行，必吹出大声。但招聚会众的时候，你们要吹号，却不要吹出大声。亚伦子孙作祭司的要吹这号；这要作你们世世代代永远的定例。你们在自己的地，与欺压你们的敌人打仗，就要用号吹出大声，便在耶和华你们的神面前得蒙纪念，也蒙拯救脱离仇敌。在你们快乐的日子和节期，并月朔，献燔祭和平安祭，也要吹号，这都要在你们的神面前作为纪念。我是耶和华你们的神。”

他们在那里大大地害怕，因为神在义人的族类中。

大卫吩咐利未人的族长，派他们歌唱的弟兄用琴瑟和钹作乐，欢欢喜喜地大声歌颂。于是利未人派约珥的儿子希幔和他弟兄中比利家的儿子亚萨，并他们族弟兄米拉利子孙里古沙雅的儿子以探。其次还有他们的弟兄撒迦利雅、便雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、乌尼、以利押、比拿雅、玛西雅、玛他提雅、以利斐利户、弥克尼雅，并守门的俄别以东和耶利。这样，派歌唱的希幔、亚萨、以探敲铜钹，大发响声；派撒迦利雅、雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、乌尼、以利押、玛西雅、比拿雅鼓瑟，调用女音；又派玛他提雅、以利斐利户、弥克尼雅、俄别以东、耶利、亚撒西雅领首弹琴，调用第八。利未人的族长基拿尼雅是歌唱人的首领，又教训人歌唱，因为他精通此事。

这三百人就带着食物和角；其余的以色列人，基甸都打发他们各归各的帐棚，只留下这三百人。米甸营在他下边的平原里。

靠近他们的人以及以萨迦、西布伦、拿弗他利人将许多面饼、无花果饼、干葡萄、酒、油，用驴、骆驼、骡子、牛驮来，又带了许多的牛和羊来，因为以色列人甚是欢乐。

约兰就转车逃跑，对亚哈谢说：“亚哈谢啊，反了！”

王站在柱旁，在耶和华面前立约，要尽心尽性地顺从耶和华，遵守他的诫命、法度、律例，成就这书上所记的约言。众民都服从这约。

亚哈见了以利亚，便说：“使以色列遭灾的就是你吗？”以利亚说：“使以色列遭灾的不是我，乃是你和你父家；因为你们离弃耶和华的诫命，去随从巴力。

大卫和抬约柜的利未人，并歌唱人的首领基拿尼雅，以及歌唱的人，都穿着细麻布的外袍；大卫另外穿着细麻布的以弗得。

我和一切跟随我的人吹角的时候，你们也要在营的四围吹角，喊叫说：‘耶和华和基甸的刀！’”基甸和跟随他的一百人，在三更之初才换更的时候，来到营旁，就吹角，打破手中的瓶。三队的人就都吹角，打破瓶子，左手拿着火把，右手拿着角，喊叫说：“耶和华和基甸的刀！”他们在营的四围各站各的地方；全营的人都乱窜。三百人呐喊，使他们逃跑。三百人就吹角，耶和华使全营的人用刀互相击杀，逃到西利拉的伯哈示他，直逃到靠近他巴的亚伯米何拉。

他们就急忙各将自己的衣服铺在上层台阶，使耶户坐在其上；他们吹角，说：“耶户作王了！”

义人享福，合城喜乐；恶人灭亡，人都欢呼。

祭司示巴尼、约沙法、拿坦业、亚玛赛、撒迦利雅、比拿亚、以利以谢在神的约柜前吹号。俄别以东和耶希亚也是约柜前守门的。
