He then went in search of Ahaziah, and his men captured him while he was hiding in Samaria. He was brought to Jehu and put to death. They buried him, for they said,“ He was a son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the Lord with all his heart.” So there was no one in the house of Ahaziah powerful enough to retain the kingdom.

Then he went to look for Ahaziah. Jehu’s men captured him while he was hiding in Samaria. Ahaziah was brought to Jehu and put to death. People buried him, because they said,“ He was a grandson of Jehoshaphat, who followed the Lord with all his heart.” So no one in the royal family of Ahaziah was powerful enough to keep the kingdom.

He searched for Ahaziah, and he was captured while hiding in Samaria, and he was brought to Jehu and put to death. They buried him, for they said,“ He is the grandson of Jehoshaphat, who sought the Lord with all his heart.” And the house of Ahaziah had no one able to rule the kingdom.

Ahaziah was given a decent burial because the people said,“ He was the grandson of Jehoshaphat— a man who sought the Lord with all his heart.” But none of the surviving members of Ahaziah’s family was capable of ruling the kingdom.

Then Jehu looked for Ahaziah, and Jehu’s soldiers captured him( he was hiding in Samaria). So they brought Ahaziah to Jehu, and they killed him. The soldiers buried him, for they said,“ He is the grandson of Jehoshaphat who sought the LORD with all his heart.” So no one from the house of Ahaziah had the strength to rule the kingdom.

And he sought Ahaziah, and they caught him( now he was hiding in Samaria), and they brought him to Jehu, and slew him; and they buried him, for they said, He is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought Jehovah with all his heart. And the house of Ahaziah had no power to hold the kingdom.

Then Jehu looked for Ahaziah, and Jehu’s soldiers captured him( he was hiding in Samaria). So they brought Ahaziah to Jehu, and they killed him. The soldiers buried him, for they said,“ He is the grandson of Jehoshaphat who sought the Lord with all his heart.” So no one from the house of Ahaziah had the strength to rule the kingdom.

And he sought Ahaziah: and they caught him,( for he was hid in Samaria,) and brought him to Jehu: and when they had slain him, they buried him: Because, said they, he[ is] the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart. So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom.

He looked for Ahaziah, who was captured while hiding in Samaria. They brought him to Jehu and then executed him. They did give him a burial, for they reasoned,“ He is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with his whole heart.” There was no one in Ahaziah’s family strong enough to rule in his place.

He sought Ahaziah, and they caught him( now he was hiding in Samaria), and they brought him to Jehu, and killed him; and they buried him, for they said,“ He is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought Yahweh with all his heart.” The house of Ahaziah had no power to hold the kingdom.

耶和华与约沙法同在，因为他行他祖先大卫从前所行的道，不去寻求诸巴力，只寻求他父亲的上帝，遵行他的诫命，不效法以色列人的行为。

犹大王亚哈谢看见了，就沿着伯‧哈干的路逃跑。耶户追赶他，说：“把这人也击杀在车上，在靠近以伯莲的姑珥坡上。”他逃到米吉多，就死在那里。他的臣仆用车把他的尸体运回耶路撒冷，与他祖先同葬在大卫城，他自己的坟墓里。

约兰登基的时候年三十二岁，在耶路撒冷作王八年。他逝世无人思慕，众人把他葬在大卫城，只是不在列王的坟墓里。耶路撒冷的居民立约兰的小儿子亚哈谢接续他作王，因为跟随阿拉伯人来攻营的军兵把亚哈谢所有的兄长都杀了；犹大王约兰的儿子亚哈谢就作了王。

耶户向亚哈家施行惩罚的时候，遇见犹大的众领袖和亚哈谢的侄子们正服事亚哈谢，就把他们都杀了。

耶户进去，吃了喝了，说：“你们去处理这被诅咒的妇人，埋了她，因为她是王的女儿。”

约兰起来治理他父亲的国，奋勇自强，用刀杀了他所有的兄弟和以色列的几个领袖。

以色列众人必为他哀哭，为他安葬。凡属耶罗波安的人，只有他可以葬入坟墓，因为在耶罗波安的家中，只有他向耶和华—以色列的上帝表现出好的行为。

他就对从犹大来的神人宣告说：“耶和华如此说：‘你既违背耶和华的指示，不遵守耶和华—你上帝的命令，

他们上来攻击犹大，侵入境内，掳掠了王宫里所有的财物和他的妻妾、儿女，除了他的小儿子约哈斯之外，没有留下一个儿子。
