So Jehu punished Ahab’s family, just as the Lord had told him to. While he was doing it, he found the officials of Judah and the sons of Ahaziah’s relatives. They had been serving Ahaziah. So Jehu killed them.

And when Jehu was executing judgment on the house of Ahab, he met the princes of Judah and the sons of Ahaziah’s brothers, who attended Ahaziah, and he killed them.

At Beth Eked of the Shepherds,he met some relatives of Ahaziah king of Judah and asked,“ Who are you?” They said,“ We are relatives of Ahaziah, and we have come down to greet the families of the king and of the queen mother.”“ Take them alive!” he ordered. So they took them alive and slaughtered them by the well of Beth Eked— forty- two of them. He left no survivor.
