But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram, took Joash son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the royal princes who were about to be murdered and put him and his nurse in a bedroom. Because Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram and wife of the priest Jehoiada, was Ahaziah’s sister, she hid the child from Athaliah so she could not kill him.

But Jehosheba went and got Joash, the son of Ahaziah. Jehosheba was the daughter of King Jehoram. She stole Joash away from among the royal princes. All of them were about to be murdered. She put Joash and his nurse in a bedroom. Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram, was the wife of Jehoiada the priest. She was also Ahaziah’s sister. So Jehosheba hid the child from Athaliah. That’s why Athaliah couldn’t kill him.

But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were about to be put to death, and she put him and his nurse in a bedroom. But Ahaziah’s sister Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram, took Ahaziah’s infant son, Joash, and stole him away from among the rest of the king’s children, who were about to be killed. She put Joash and his nurse in a bedroom. In this way, Jehosheba, wife of Jehoiada the priest and sister of Ahaziah, hid the child so that Athaliah could not murder him.

Jehoshabeath, the king’s daughter, rescued Joash son of Ahaziah from the king’s sons who were being killed and put him and the one who nursed him in a bedroom. She hid him and his nurse in the room where the bed covers were stored. So Jehoshabeath the daughter of King Jehoram, wife of Jehoiada the priest and sister of Ahaziah, hid him from Athaliah so she could not execute him.

But Jehoshabeath, the king’s daughter, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stealthily rescued him from among the king’s sons who were slain, and put him and his nurse in the bedroom. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest( for she was the sister of Ahaziah), hid him from Athaliah, so that she didn’t kill him.

第七年耶何耶大奮勇自強，將百夫長耶羅罕的兒子亞撒利雅、約哈難的兒子以實瑪利、俄備得的兒子亞撒利雅、亞大雅的兒子瑪西雅、細基利的兒子以利沙法召了來，同他們立約。

然而永恆主他的上帝、卻因大衛的緣故、仍然使他在耶路撒冷有燈光，使他兒子得以繼他而立，又使耶路撒冷站立得住；

人的烈怒終必稱讚你；你必用人的餘怒去束腰。

但永恆主卻因他和大衛所立的約的緣故仍不情願滅絕大衛的家，乃是照他所說過的、要使他和他子孫日日不斷地有燈光。

他對我說：這間朝着南路的屋子是給守着殿宇職守的祭司用的。那間朝着北路的屋子是給守着祭壇職守的祭司用的：這些祭司是利未人中撒督的子孫；只有他們可以走近永恆主來侍候他。

永恆主這麼說：『人怎樣從葡萄嘟嚕中取得新酒，而說：「不要毁它，因為有讓人蒙祝福的因素在那裏面」，我因我僕人的緣故也必照樣而行，不將他們全都毁滅。

要作你手和你計畫所豫定必成的一切事。

沒有智慧、沒有明達、沒有謀略能敵得過永恆主。

是他要為我的名建殿，我必堅立他的國位、到永遠。

但是約蘭王的女兒亞哈謝的妹妹約示巴卻將亞哈謝的兒子約阿施、從那些將要被殺死的王子中偷出來，把他和他乳母都放在貯藏床鋪的內屋裏。人將他藏起來、以躲避亞他利雅，他就沒有被殺死。

永恆主破壞列國的計謀，使萬族之民所設計的沒有功效。
