The people of Jerusalem made Ahaziah, Jehoram’s youngest son, king in his place, since the raiders, who came with the Arabs into the camp, had killed all the older sons. So Ahaziah son of Jehoram king of Judah began to reign.

約蘭既薨、與列祖同葬於大闢之城、子亞哈謝繼位。○以色列王亞哈子約藍十二年、猶大王約蘭子亞哈謝即位。亞哈謝乃以色列族王暗利之女孫、亞大利所出、年二十有二即位於耶路撒冷、僅歷一年。既與亞哈家為姻婭、則從亞哈所為、行惡於耶和華前、與亞哈子約藍、往基列之喇末、戰亞蘭王哈泄。亞蘭人傷約藍。約藍既傷、則歸耶斯烈、以療其疾、猶大王約蘭子亞哈謝往耶斯烈、見亞哈子約藍而問其疾。

烏西亞耶路撒冷婦耶歌利亞所出也、年十有六、猶大民眾立之為王、繼父亞馬謝位、都耶路撒冷凡五十二年。亞馬謝既薨烏西亞復建以祿、使歸猶大統轄。

國人立約西亞子約哈斯俾繼國祚、年二十三即位、都耶路撒冷、僅三月、

民討叛黨、置諸法、扶王子約西亞繼位。

會眾在上帝殿、與王約、祭司告眾曰、王子當繼位、應耶和華許大闢子孫之言。
