The people of Jerusalem made Ahaziah, Jehoram’s youngest son, king in his place, since the raiders, who came with the Arabs into the camp, had killed all the older sons. So Ahaziah son of Jehoram king of Judah began to reign.

約蘭與祖先同眠後，葬在大衛城他的祖墳裡。他兒子亞哈謝繼位。以色列王亞哈的兒子約蘭執政第十二年，猶大王約蘭的兒子亞哈謝登基。他二十二歲登基，在耶路撒冷執政一年。他母親叫亞她利雅，是以色列王暗利的孫女。亞哈謝是亞哈家的女婿，他步亞哈家的後塵，做耶和華視為惡的事。他聯合亞哈的兒子約蘭到基列的拉末與亞蘭王哈薛交戰。約蘭受了傷，便回到耶斯列療傷。猶大王亞哈謝前去探望。

全體猶大人立十六歲的烏西雅為王，繼承他父親亞瑪謝的王位。

猶大人在耶路撒冷立約西亞的兒子約哈斯接替他父親做王。

民眾殺死那些背叛亞們王的人，立他兒子約西亞為王。

全體會眾到上帝的殿中與王立約。耶何耶大對他們說：「王的兒子當做王！這是耶和華對大衛子孫的應許。

約沙法的兒子是約蘭，約蘭的兒子是亞哈謝，亞哈謝的兒子是約阿施，
