他們就走遍猶大，從猶大各城召集利未人和以色列各家族的首領；他們就來到耶路撒冷。

就召集了眾祭司和利未人，對他們說：“你們要去到猶大各城，向所有以色列人募捐金錢，可以年年修建你們神的殿；你們應急速辦理這事。”可是利未人卻不急速辦理。

亞哈斯和他的列祖同睡，埋葬在耶路撒冷城裡，但沒有葬在以色列諸王的陵墓裡。他的兒子希西家接續他作王。

因為猶大王亞哈斯在猶大放縱邪惡，大大地冒犯了耶和華，所以耶和華使猶大卑微。

他向擊敗了他的大馬士革的神獻祭，說：“亞蘭王的神幫助了他們，我也向它們獻祭，使它們也幫助我。”它們卻使他和以色列人滅亡。

他和列王一同埋葬在大衛城裡，因為他在以色列為神和神的殿作了美善的事。

約蘭一登上了他父親的王位，鞏固了自己的權勢以後，就用刀殺了他所有的兄弟和猶大的一些領袖。

瑪拿西其餘的事蹟，包括他對他的神的禱告，和那些先見奉耶和華以色列的神的名向他所說的話，都記在以色列諸王記上。

自從撒母耳先知的日子以來，在以色列中沒有守過像這樣的逾越節；以色列諸王也都沒有守過這樣的逾越節，像約西亞、祭司、利未人、猶大眾人和在場的以色列人，以及耶路撒冷的居民守的。
