He went there to see Joram. That’s because Joram had been wounded. Ahaziah was king of Judah. Joram was the son of Ahab.

Jehoash king of Israel captured Amaziah king of Judah at Beth Shemesh. Amaziah was the son of Joash. Joash was the son of Ahaziah. Jehoash brought Amaziah to Jerusalem. Jehoash broke down part of its wall. It’s the part that went from the Ephraim Gate to the Corner Gate. That part of the wall was 600 feet long.

The children of that evil woman Athaliah had broken into God’s temple. They had used even its sacred objects for the gods that were named Baal.

I saw that foolish people were having success. But suddenly harm came to their homes.Their children aren’t safe at all. They lose their case in court. No one speaks up for them.
