Are you not our God who drove out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and who gave it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend?

我們的神啊，你不是曾經把這地的居民從你的子民以色列人面前趕走，把這地賜給你的朋友亞伯拉罕的後裔永遠作產業嗎？

我們的上帝啊，你不是曾從你子民以色列人面前驅逐這地的居民，將這地賜給愛你者亞伯拉罕的後裔永遠為業麼？

我上帝歟、斯土居民、爾非逐於爾民以色列前、以此地錫予爾友亞伯拉罕之裔、至於永久乎、

昔有人居斯土、上帝啟以色列族而驅之、亞伯拉罕為上帝所眷顧、遂以斯土錫其苗裔、俾為恆業。

我之天主歟、在昔將原居斯土之諸族、逐於主之民以色列人前、以斯土賜於敬愛主敬愛主或作主之友亞伯拉罕之苗裔、使為恆業、

Our God, did you not drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend?

Our God, you drove out the people who lived in this land. You drove them out to make room for your people Israel. You gave this land forever to those who belong to the family line of your friend Abraham.

Did you not, our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel, and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend?

O our God, did you not drive out those who lived in this land when your people Israel arrived? And did you not give this land forever to the descendants of your friend Abraham?

Did You not, our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land from Your people Israel, and give it to the descendants of Your friend Abraham forever?

Are You not our God, who drove out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel, and gave it to the descendants of Abraham Your friend forever?

Didst not thou, O our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and give it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?

Are You not our God who drove out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel and who gave it forever to the descendants of Abraham Your friend?

[ Art] not thou our God,[ who] didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?

Our God, you drove out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and gave it as a permanent possession to the descendants of your friend Abraham.

Didn’t you, our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel, and give it to the offspring of Abraham your friend forever?

But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, descendant of Abraham, my friend—

In order to plant them, you displaced the nations by your hand; in order to settle them, you brought disaster on the peoples.

and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, and he was called God’s friend.

for I will give you and your offspring forever all the land that you see.

You found his heart faithful in your sight, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, Hethites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites, and Girgashites— to give it to his descendants. You have fulfilled your promise, for you are righteous.

But I took your father Abraham from the region beyond the Euphrates River, led him throughout the land of Canaan, and multiplied his descendants. I gave him Isaac,

The LORD appeared to Abram and said,“ To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the LORD who had appeared to him.

I will send an angel ahead of you and will drive out the Canaanites, Amorites, Hethites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.

I will take you as my people, and I will be your God. You will know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from the forced labor of the Egyptians.

Now if you will carefully listen to me and keep my covenant, you will be my own possession out of all the peoples, although the whole earth is mine,and you will be my kingdom of priests and my holy nation.’ These are the words that you are to say to the Israelites.”After Moses came back, he summoned the elders of the people and set before them all these words that the LORD had commanded him.

I gave you a land you did not labor for, and cities you did not build, though you live in them; you are eating from vineyards and olive groves you did not plant.’

Then Asa cried out to the LORD his God,“ LORD, there is no one besides you to help the mighty and those without strength. Help us, LORD our God, for we depend on you, and in your name we have come against this large army. LORD, you are our God. Do not let a mere mortal hinder you.”

I will confirm my covenant that is between me and you and your future offspring throughout their generations. It is a permanent covenant to be your God and the God of your offspring after you.

I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.

And who is like your people Israel? God, you came to one nation on earth to redeem a people for yourself, to make a name for yourself through great and awesome works by driving out nations before your people you redeemed from Egypt.You made your people Israel your own people forever, and you, LORD, have become their God.Now, LORD, let the word that you have spoken concerning your servant and his house be confirmed forever, and do as you have promised.Let your name be confirmed and magnified forever in the saying,“ The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, is God over Israel.” May the house of your servant David be established before you.

He said this, and then he told them,“ Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I’m on my way to wake him up.”

I do not call you servants anymore, because a servant doesn’t know what his master is doing. I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have heard from my Father.
