和他們同在的，不過是人血肉的手臂；和我們同在的，卻是耶和華我們的神，他必幫助我們，為我們作戰。”眾民因猶大王希西家的話都得著鼓勵了。

只要你們不背叛耶和華，就不必怕那地的人，因為他們是我們的食物；蔭庇他們的，已經離開他們了，耶和華卻與我們同在；不要怕他們。”

安靜等候耶和華的救恩，是多麼的美好！

既是這樣，我們對這一切還有甚麼話說呢？神若這樣為我們，誰能敵對我們呢？

列國之民啊！你們儘管作惡，但你們終必毀滅！所有在遠處的人民啊，要留心聽！你們儘管束腰吧，你們終必毀滅！你們儘管束腰吧，你們終必毀滅！你們儘管計劃陰謀吧，這些終必失敗；你們儘管提議吧，這些終必不能成立，因為神與我們同在。

你們要尋求良善，不要尋求邪惡，這樣才可以存活。耶和華萬軍的神就必與你們同在，正如你們所說的。

又使他們的車輪脫落，行駛困難，因此埃及人說：“我們從以色列人面前逃跑吧，因為耶和華為他們爭戰，攻擊埃及人了。”

因為主耶和華以色列的聖者這樣說：“你們得救在於悔改和安息，你們得力在於平靜和信靠。”但你們竟不願意。

“必有童女懷孕生子，他的名要叫以馬內利。”以馬內利就是“神與我們同在”的意思。

主與你同在。願恩惠與你們同在。

埃及的幫助是徒然的，是虛幻的，因此我稱它為“坐而不動的拉哈伯”。

當他們開始歡呼讚美的時候，耶和華就派出伏兵，擊殺那前來攻打猶大人的亞捫人、摩押人和西珥山的人，他們就被擊潰了。原來亞捫人和摩押人起來攻擊住西珥山的人，把他們殺盡滅絕；他們滅盡了住西珥山的人以後，竟又自相殘殺。
