和他们同在的，不过是人血肉的手臂；和我们同在的，却是耶和华我们的神，他必帮助我们，为我们作战。”众民因犹大王希西家的话都得着鼓励了。

只要你们不背叛耶和华，就不必怕那地的人，因为他们是我们的食物；荫庇他们的，已经离开他们了，耶和华却与我们同在；不要怕他们。”

安静等候耶和华的救恩，是多么的美好！

万军之耶和华与我们同在；雅各的神是我们的保障。（细拉）

既是这样，我们对这一切还有什么话说呢？神若这样为我们，谁能敌对我们呢？

列国之民啊！你们尽管作恶，但你们终必毁灭！所有在远处的人民啊，要留心听！你们尽管束腰吧，你们终必毁灭！你们尽管束腰吧，你们终必毁灭！你们尽管计划阴谋吧，这些终必失败；你们尽管提议吧，这些终必不能成立，因为神与我们同在。

你们要寻求良善，不要寻求邪恶，这样才可以存活。耶和华万军的神就必与你们同在，正如你们所说的。

又使他们的车轮脱落，行驶困难，因此埃及人说：“我们从以色列人面前逃跑吧，因为耶和华为他们争战，攻击埃及人了。”

因为主耶和华以色列的圣者这样说：“你们得救在于悔改和安息，你们得力在于平静和信靠。”但你们竟不愿意。

“必有童女怀孕生子，他的名要叫以马内利。”以马内利就是“神与我们同在”的意思。

主与你同在。愿恩惠与你们同在。

埃及的帮助是徒然的，是虚幻的，因此我称它为“坐而不动的拉哈伯”。

当他们开始欢呼赞美的时候，耶和华就派出伏兵，击杀那前来攻打犹大人的亚扪人、摩押人和西珥山的人，他们就被击溃了。原来亚扪人和摩押人起来攻击住西珥山的人，把他们杀尽灭绝；他们灭尽了住西珥山的人以后，竟又自相残杀。
