Now I am about to build a temple for the Name of the Lord my God and to dedicate it to him for burning fragrant incense before him, for setting out the consecrated bread regularly, and for making burnt offerings every morning and evening and on the Sabbaths, at the New Moons and at the appointed festivals of the Lord our God. This is a lasting ordinance for Israel.

Now I’m about to build a temple. The Name of the Lord my God will be there. I’ll set the temple apart for him. Sweet- smelling incense will be burned in front of him there. The holy bread will be set out at regular times. Burnt offerings will be sacrificed there every morning and evening. They will be sacrificed every Sabbath day. They will be sacrificed at every New Moon feast. And they will be sacrificed at every yearly appointed feast of the Lord our God. That’s a law for Israel that will last for all time to come.

Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of the Lord my God and dedicate it to him for the burning of incense of sweet spices before him, and for the regular arrangement of the showbread, and for burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths and the new moons and the appointed feasts of the Lord our God, as ordained forever for Israel.

I am about to build a Temple to honor the name of the Lord my God. It will be a place set apart to burn fragrant incense before him, to display the special sacrificial bread, and to sacrifice burnt offerings each morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, at new moon celebrations, and at the other appointed festivals of the Lord our God. He has commanded Israel to do these things forever.

Now I am building a temple for the name of the LORD my God in order to dedicate it to him for burning fragrant incense before him, for displaying the rows of the Bread of the Presence continuously, and for sacrificing burnt offerings for the morning and the evening, the Sabbaths and the New Moons, and the appointed festivals of the LORD our God. This is ordained for Israel permanently.

Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of the Lord my God, dedicating it to Him, to burn fragrant incense before Him and to set out the showbread continually, and to offer burnt offerings morning and evening, on Sabbaths, on new moons, and on the appointed feasts of the Lord our God. This is to be done in Israel forever.

Behold, I am building a temple for the name of the Lord my God, to dedicate it to Him, to burn before Him sweet incense, for the continual showbread, for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, on the New Moons, and on the set feasts of the Lord our God. Now I am building a temple for the name of Yahweh my God in order to dedicate it to Him for burning fragrant incense before Him, for displaying the rows of the bread of the Presence continuously, and for sacrificing burnt offerings for the morning and the evening, the Sabbaths and the New Moons, and the appointed festivals of the Lord our God. This is ordained for Israel forever.

Behold, I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate[ it] to him,[ and] to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This[ is an ordinance] for ever to Israel.

Look, I am ready to build a temple to honor the LORD my God and to dedicate it to him in order to burn fragrant incense before him, to set out the bread that is regularly displayed, and to offer burnt sacrifices each morning and evening, and on Sabbaths, new moon festivals, and at other times appointed by the LORD our God. This is something Israel must do on a permanent basis.

Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of Yahweh my God, to dedicate it to him, to burn before him incense of sweet spices, for the continual show bread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts of Yahweh our God. This is an ordinance forever to Israel.

“ Aaron must burn fragrant incense on the altar every morning when he tends the lamps.

Put the bread of the Presence on this table to be before me at all times.

“ This is what you are to offer on the altar regularly each day: two lambs a year old.Offer one in the morning and the other at twilight.With the first lamb offer a tenth of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil from pressed olives, and a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering.Sacrifice the other lamb at twilight with the same grain offering and its drink offering as in the morning— a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the Lord.“ For the generations to come this burnt offering is to be made regularly at the entrance to the tent of meeting, before the Lord. There I will meet you and speak to you;

Solomon gave orders to build a temple for the Name of the Lord and a royal palace for himself.

Solomon offered a sacrifice of fellowship offerings to the Lord: twenty-two thousand cattle and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep and goats. So the king and all the Israelites dedicated the temple of the Lord.

“ Take the finest flour and bake twelve loaves of bread, using two- tenths of an ephah for each loaf.Arrange them in two stacks, six in each stack, on the table of pure gold before the Lord.By each stack put some pure incense as a memorial portion to represent the bread and to be a food offering presented to the Lord.This bread is to be set out before the Lord regularly, Sabbath after Sabbath, on behalf of the Israelites, as a lasting covenant.It belongs to Aaron and his sons, who are to eat it in the sanctuary area, because it is a most holy part of their perpetual share of the food offerings presented to the Lord.”

The Lord said to Moses,“ Speak to the Israelites and say to them:‘ These are my appointed festivals, the appointed festivals of the Lord, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies.“‘ There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest, a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a sabbath to the Lord.“‘ These are the Lord’s appointed festivals, the sacred assemblies you are to proclaim at their appointed times:The Lord’s Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month.On the fifteenth day of that month the Lord’s Festival of Unleavened Bread begins; for seven days you must eat bread made without yeast.On the first day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.For seven days present a food offering to the Lord. And on the seventh day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.’”The Lord said to Moses,“ Speak to the Israelites and say to them:‘ When you enter the land I am going to give you and you reap its harvest, bring to the priest a sheaf of the first grain you harvest.He is to wave the sheaf before the Lord so it will be accepted on your behalf; the priest is to wave it on the day after the Sabbath.On the day you wave the sheaf, you must sacrifice as a burnt offering to the Lord a lamb a year old without defect,together with its grain offering of two- tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with olive oil— a food offering presented to the Lord, a pleasing aroma— and its drink offering of a quarter of a hin of wine.You must not eat any bread, or roasted or new grain, until the very day you bring this offering to your God. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.“‘ From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, count off seven full weeks.Count off fifty days up to the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then present an offering of new grain to the Lord.From wherever you live, bring two loaves made of two- tenths of an ephah of the finest flour, baked with yeast, as a wave offering of firstfruits to the Lord.

The Lord said to Moses,“ Give this command to the Israelites and say to them:‘ Make sure that you present to me at the appointed time my food offerings, as an aroma pleasing to me.’Say to them:‘ This is the food offering you are to present to the Lord: two lambs a year old without defect, as a regular burnt offering each day.Offer one lamb in the morning and the other at twilight,together with a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil from pressed olives.This is the regular burnt offering instituted at Mount Sinai as a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the Lord.The accompanying drink offering is to be a quarter of a hin of fermented drink with each lamb. Pour out the drink offering to the Lord at the sanctuary.Offer the second lamb at twilight, along with the same kind of grain offering and drink offering that you offer in the morning. This is a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.“‘ On the Sabbath day, make an offering of two lambs a year old without defect, together with its drink offering and a grain offering of two- tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with olive oil.This is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, in addition to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.“‘ On the first of every month, present to the Lord a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.With each bull there is to be a grain offering of three- tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with the ram, a grain offering of two- tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil;and with each lamb, a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil. This is for a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the Lord.With each bull there is to be a drink offering of half a hin of wine; with the ram, a third of a hin; and with each lamb, a quarter of a hin. This is the monthly burnt offering to be made at each new moon during the year.Besides the regular burnt offering with its drink offering, one male goat is to be presented to the Lord as a sin offering.“‘ On the fourteenth day of the first month the Lord’s Passover is to be held.On the fifteenth day of this month there is to be a festival; for seven days eat bread made without yeast.On the first day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.Present to the Lord a food offering consisting of a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.With each bull offer a grain offering of three- tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with the ram, two- tenths;and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.Include one male goat as a sin offering to make atonement for you.Offer these in addition to the regular morning burnt offering.In this way present the food offering every day for seven days as an aroma pleasing to the Lord; it is to be offered in addition to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.On the seventh day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.“‘ On the day of firstfruits, when you present to the Lord an offering of new grain during the Festival of Weeks, hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.Present a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram and seven male lambs a year old as an aroma pleasing to the Lord.With each bull there is to be a grain offering of three- tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with the ram, two- tenths;and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.

But the Lord said to my father David,‘ You did well to have it in your heart to build a temple for my Name.
