所羅門遣人謂推羅王戶蘭曰、昔爾運香柏於我父大衛、以建宮室而居、今請爾亦如是待我、

所羅門遣人、告推羅王希蘭曰、昔爾饋柏香木於我父大闢、以建宮室、

所羅門遣人告推羅王戶蘭、戶蘭即希蘭曰、昔王以柏香木餽我父大衛、得建宮室以居之、願王待我亦如是、

Solomon sent this message to Hiram king of Tyre:“ Send me cedar logs as you did for my father David when you sent him cedar to build a palace to live in.

Solomon sent a message to Hiram. Hiram was king of Tyre. Solomon said,“ Send me cedar logs, just as you did for my father David. You sent him cedar to build a palace to live in.

And Solomon sent word to Hiram the king of Tyre:“ As you dealt with David my father and sent him cedar to build himself a house to dwell in, so deal with me.

Solomon also sent this message to King Hiram at Tyre:“ Send me cedar logs as you did for my father, David, when he was building his palace.

Then Solomon sent word to King Hiram of Tyre: Do for me what you did for my father David. You sent him cedars to build him a house to live in.

Then Solomon sent word to Huram the king of Tyre, saying,“ As you dealt with my father David and sent him cedars to build him a house to live in, do it for me.

Then Solomon sent to Hiram king of Tyre, saying: As you have dealt with David my father, and sent him cedars to build himself a house to dwell in, so deal with me.

And Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, As thou didst deal with David my father, and didst send him cedars to build him a house to dwell therein, even so deal with me.

Then Solomon sent word to King Hiram of Tyre: Do for me what you did for my father David. You sent him cedars to build him a house to live in.

And Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, As thou didst deal with David my father, and didst send him cedars to build him an house to dwell therein,[ even so deal with me].

Solomon sent a message to King Huram of Tyre:“ Help me as you did my father David, when you sent him cedar logs for the construction of his palace.

推羅王希蘭素日很愛大衛；他一聽見以色列人膏立了所羅門接替他父親做王，就差遣臣僕來見所羅門。所羅門也差遣人去見希蘭，說：『你知道我父親大衛、因着四圍的戰爭、不能為永恆主他的上帝的名建殿，直等到永恆主使仇敵都服在他腳下，才要建殿。現在永恆主我的上帝既使我得享平靜，周圍四方沒有騷擾，沒有敵擋的人，沒有壞的遭遇。我心裏就說要為永恆主我的上帝的名建殿，照永恆主對我父親大衛所說過的話，說：「你那兒子、我所要設立來接替你坐你位上的、是他才要為我的名來建殿。」現在求你吩咐人從利巴嫩為我砍伐香柏木；我的僕人也要和你的僕人一同作；我要照你所說定的將你僕人的工價交給你；因為你自己也知道我們中間並沒有人像西頓人那樣精於砍樹木的。』希蘭聽了所羅門的話，就非常高興，說：『今日永恆主正應當受祝頌，因為他將一個有智慧的兒子賜給大衛、來管理這許多的人民。』希蘭打發人去見所羅門，說：『你差遣人向我所提的那事、我都聽見了；關於香柏木和松木的事、凡你所心願的、我都要照辦。我的僕人要從利巴嫩將這木料運下海裏；我要把木料紮成筏子，由海上運到你所叫我送到的地方，在那裏拆開，你就可以收起來；你也須要成全我的心願，將食物給我的家。』於是希蘭照所羅門所心願的將香柏木和松木給他。所羅門也將麥子二萬歌珥、搗成的油二萬罷特給希蘭，做他家的食物：所羅門年年都這樣給希蘭。
