Judah turned and discovered that the battle was in front of them and behind them, so they cried out to the LORD. Then the priests blew the trumpets,

God is our refuge and strength, a helper who is always found in times of trouble.

I love the LORD because he has heard my appeal for mercy.Because he has turned his ear to me, I will call out to him as long as I live.

If the LORD had not been my helper, I would soon rest in the silence of death.

They pushed me hard to make me fall, but the LORD helped me.

When a person’s ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and rescues them.

A king’s heart is like channeled water in the LORD’s hand: He directs it wherever he chooses.

Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death, so that we would not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead.He has delivered us from such a terrible death, and he will deliver us. We have put our hope in him that he will deliver us again

Please, Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of your servant and to that of your servants who delight to revere your name. Give your servant success today, and grant him compassion in the presence of this man. At the time, I was the king’s cupbearer.
