When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they thought,“ This is the king of Israel.” So they turned to attack him, but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the Lord helped him. God drew them away from him,

犹大人转身，看见自己前后受敌，就呼求耶和华，祭司也都吹号。

神是我们的避难所，是我们的力量，是我们在患难中随时都可得到的帮助。

我爱耶和华，因为他听了我的声音、我的恳求。因为他留心听我的恳求，我一生一世要求告他。

如果不是耶和华帮助我，我早就不在人世了（“我早就不在人世了”原文作“我早就住在寂静中”）。

他们（“他们”原文作“你”）极力推我，要我跌倒，耶和华却帮助了我。

人所行的，若是蒙耶和华喜悦，耶和华也使他的仇敌与他和好。

耶和华的使者，在敬畏他的人周围扎营，搭救他们。

君王的心在耶和华手中，好像水沟的水，他可以随意转移。

而且断定自己是必死的了；然而，这正是要我们不倚靠自己，只倚靠那叫死人复活的神。他救我们脱离了那极大的死亡，而且他还要救我们，我们希望他将来仍要救我们。

主啊，求你留意听你仆人的祷告，也听那些喜爱敬畏你名的仆人的祷告；求你使你的仆人今天顺利，使他在这人面前蒙怜悯。”那时我是王的酒政。

万军之耶和华与我们同在；雅各的神是我们的保障。（细拉）

以斯拉说：“耶和华我们列祖的神是应该称颂的，因为他把这样的意念放在君王的心里，使他修饰那在耶路撒冷的耶和华的殿；

法老走近的时候，以色列人举目观看，看见埃及人正追赶过来，就非常惧怕，向耶和华呼求。

亚撒呼求耶和华他的神说：“耶和华啊，强弱悬殊，除你以外没有别的帮助。耶和华我们的神啊，求你帮助我们。因为我们倚靠你，奉你的名去对抗这大军。耶和华啊，你是我们的神，不要让人胜过你。”

神帮助他攻打非利士人和住在姑珥．巴力的阿拉伯人，以及米乌尼人。

波斯王古列元年，耶和华为要应验他藉耶利米的口所说的话，就激动波斯王古列的心灵，使他通令全国，传达文告说：
