and say,‘ This is what the king says: Put this fellow in prison and give him nothing but bread and water until I return safely.’”

and say,‘ Thus says the king, Put this fellow in prison and feed him with meager rations of bread and water until I return in peace.’”

and say,‘ This is what the king says: Put this guy in prison and feed him only a little bread and water until I come back safely.’”

and say,‘ Thus says the king:“ Put this fellow in prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and water of affliction, until I return in peace.”’”

亚撒听了就对先见发怒，把他囚禁在监狱里，同时又压迫一些民众。

大卫曾说：“我在旷野保护这人的羊群，使它们不致丢失，真是枉费功夫。他竟以怨报德。

因为你们已经清楚知道，将来有一天，主会突然来到，像贼在夜里忽然出现一样。当人们正在说一切平安稳妥的时候，灾祸会像产痛临到孕妇一样突然临到他们，令他们无法逃脱。

法利赛人听见后却说：“祂不过是靠鬼王别西卜赶鬼罢了。”

要欢喜快乐，因为你们在天上有很大的奖赏。他们也曾这样迫害以前的先知。

王却说：“我要嘱咐你多少次，你才肯奉耶和华的名对我说实话呢？”

指控祂说：“这人蛊惑民心，禁止百姓向凯撒纳税，又说自己是基督，是君王。”

以色列王下令说：“把米该雅交给亚们总督和约阿施王子，告诉他们，‘王说，要把这人关在监牢，只给他一些饼和水，直到我平安地回来。’”米该雅说：“如果你能够平安地回来，耶和华就没有借着我说话。”他又说：“众民啊，你们都记住我的话。”

他们凡事顺利，对你的审判不屑一顾，对所有的仇敌嗤之以鼻。

免得有人听了这誓言后，心存侥幸地说，‘即使我一意孤行，连累他人，也必平安无事。’

便把使徒拘捕，关在监里。

便下令殴打耶利米先知，把他囚禁在耶和华殿的便雅悯上门处。第二天，他释放了耶利米，耶利米对他说：“耶和华不再叫你巴施户珥，要叫你玛歌珥·米撒毕。

虽然主让你们经苦难、历艰辛，但你们的教师必不再隐藏，你们必亲眼看见你们的教师。

他们自称是基督的仆人，我说句狂话，我更是！我比他们更辛苦，坐牢更多，身受更重的鞭打，经常出生入死。

众人一听到这里，就高喊：“从世上除掉这样的人！他不配活着！”

智者小心谨慎，远离恶事；愚人骄傲自负，行事鲁莽。

地上万民便兴高采烈，互相送礼道贺，因为这两位先知曾使地上的人受苦。

我以炉灰为食物，眼泪拌着水喝，

你使我们以泪洗面，以哀伤果腹，

分封王希律娶了自己弟弟的妻子希罗底，又做了许多恶事，因而受到约翰的指责，可是他却恶上加恶，将约翰关进监牢里。
