他們就拿住耶利米，給扔在王子瑪基雅的井裏；那井在護衛監的院子裏；他們用繩子將耶利米縋下去。井裏沒有水，只是淤泥；耶利米就沉陷在淤泥中。古實人以伯米勒、是個做太監的人、他在王宮、聽見人將耶利米下在井裏——那時王在便雅憫門口坐着——

約西亞在位的十八年、正在潔淨地方、潔淨聖殿之中、差遣亞薩利雅的兒子沙番、市長瑪西雅、約哈斯的兒子通知官約亞、去修理永恆主他的上帝的殿。
