Then Zedekiah son of Kenaanah went up and slapped Micaiah in the face.“ Which way did the spirit from the Lord go when he went from me to speak to you?” he asked.

Then Zedekiah, the son of Kenaanah, went up and slapped Micaiah in the face. Zedekiah asked Micaiah,“ Do you think the spirit sent by the Lord left me? Do you think that spirit went to speak to you?”

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near and struck Micaiah on the cheek and said,“ Which way did the Spirit of the Lord go from me to speak to you?”

Then Zedekiah son of Kenaanah walked up to Micaiah and slapped him across the face.“ Since when did the Spirit of the Lord leave me to speak to you?” he demanded.

Then Zedekiah son of Chenaanah came up, hit Micaiah on the cheek, and demanded,“ Which way did the spirit from the LORD leave me to speak to you?”

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said,“ Which way did the spirit from the Lord go from me to speak to you?”

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of Jehovah from me to speak unto thee?

Then Zedekiah son of Chenaanah came up, hit Micaiah in the face, and demanded,“ Which way did the spirit from the Lord leave me to speak to you?”

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?

Zedekiah son of Kenaanah approached, hit Micaiah on the jaw, and said,“ Which way did the LORD’s spirit go when he went from me to speak to you?”

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said,“ Which way did Yahweh’s Spirit go from me to speak to you?”

Pashhur had Jeremiah the prophet beaten and put him in the stocks that were at the upper Benjamin Gate, which was by the house of the Lord.

And some began to spit on Him, and to blindfold Him, and to beat Him with their fists and say to Him,“ Prophesy!” Then the officers took custody of Him and slapped Him in the face.

“ The Lord has made you priest instead of Jehoiada the priest, to be the overseer of the house of the Lord for every insane person who prophesies, to put him in the stocks and in the iron collar.So now, why have you not rebuked Jeremiah of Anathoth who prophesies to you,

Now then, behold, the Lord has put a deceiving spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours; and the Lord has declared disaster against you.”Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah approached and struck Micaiah on the cheek; and he said,“ How did the Spirit of the Lord pass from me to speak to you?”And Micaiah said,“ Behold, you are going to see how on that day when you go from one inner room to another trying to hide yourself.”

Then they spit in His face and beat Him with their fists; and others slapped Him,and said,“ Prophesy to us, You Christ; who is the one who hit You?”

But when He said this, one of the officers, who was standing nearby, struck Jesus, saying,“ Is that the way You answer the high priest?”Jesus answered him,“ If I have spoken wrongly, testify of the wrong; but if rightly, why do you strike Me?”

The Lord God has opened My ear, And I was not disobedient, Nor did I turn back.I gave My back to those who strike Me, And My cheeks to those who pull out My beard; I did not hide My face from insults and spitting.

Those who were with Him from the Pharisees heard these things and said to Him,“ We are not blind too, are we?”Jesus said to them,“ If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now that you maintain,‘ We see,’ your sin remains.

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made horns of iron for himself and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ With these you will gore the Arameans until they are destroyed!’ ”

“ Now muster yourselves in troops, daughter of troops; They have laid siege against us; With a rod they will strike the judge of Israel on the cheek.

Let him give his cheek to the one who is going to strike him; Let him be filled with shame.

But the high priest Ananias commanded those standing beside him to strike him on the mouth.Then Paul said to him,“ God is going to strike you, you whitewashed wall! Do you sit to try me according to the Law, and in violation of the Law, order me to be struck?”
