I wrote the first narrative, Theophilus, about all that Jesus began to do and teach

Jesus was going all over Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.

He taught them many things in parables, and in His teaching He said to them:

Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, and Pelaiah, who were Levites, explained the law to the people as they stood in their places.They read out of the book of the law of God, translating and giving the meaning so that the people could understand what was read.

Look, I have taught you statutes and ordinances as the Lord my God has commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land you are entering to possess.

But He said to them,“ I must proclaim the good news about the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because I was sent for this purpose.”And He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.

On the second day, the family leaders of all the people, along with the priests and Levites, assembled before Ezra the scribe to study the words of the law.They found written in the law how the Lord had commanded through Moses that the Israelites should dwell in booths during the festival of the seventh month.
