His heart was devoted to the ways of the Lord; furthermore, he removed the high places and the Asherah poles from Judah.

然爾尚有善事在焉、即除境內之木偶、致志尋求上帝也、○

在位之八年、尚幼冲、始求其祖大衛之上帝、十二年、始潔猶大及耶路撒冷、除其崇邱木偶、雕像鑄像、民於其前毀巴力之壇、斫其上之日像、碎其木偶、雕像鑄像、搗之成粉、揚於祭者之塚、焚其祭司之骨於壇、而潔猶大及耶路撒冷、在瑪拿西、以法蓮、西緬、延及拿弗他利諸邑、與四周荒址、亦如是而行、毀諸壇、碎木偶及雕像、搗之成粉、斫以色列遍地之日像、乃返耶路撒冷、○

噫、爾盈諸詭譎奸惡、為魔之子、諸義之敵、爾紊亂主之正道、將無已乎、

謳歌耶和華之作為、以耶和華之尊榮赫奕兮、

此事既畢、在彼之以色列眾咸出、往猶大諸邑、碎其柱像、斫其木偶、毀其崇邱與壇、在猶大便雅憫以法蓮瑪拿西諸地、盡除滅之、以色列人乃返故邑、各歸其業、

爾必以全能者為悅、仰面於上帝前、

因我守耶和華之道、未嘗為惡、離我上帝兮、彼之律例、悉在我前、未嘗違其典章兮、

孰為智者、而明此事乎、孰為哲人、而知其情乎、耶和華之途乃正、義人必履之、而罪人蹶於其中、

行為完備、循耶和華之律者、其有福兮、

除異邦之祭壇與崇邱、毀柱像、斫木偶、

爾當富有之時、不中心欣喜、奉事爾上帝耶和華、
