The Lord was with Jehoshaphat because he followed the ways of his father David before him. He did not consult the Baals

The Lord was with Jehoshaphat. That’s because he lived the way King David had lived. He didn’t ask for advice from the gods that were named Baal.

The Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the earlier ways of his father David. He did not seek the Baals,

No one will be able to oppose you all the days of your life. Just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you; I will not desert you nor abandon you.

The Lord of armies is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah

He did what was right in the sight of the Lord, in accordance with everything that his father David had done.

For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”

and he went out to meet Asa and said to him,“ Listen to me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: the Lord is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you abandon Him, He will abandon you.

Remember, Lord, in David’s behalf, All his affliction;How he swore to the Lord And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob,“ I certainly will not enter my house, Nor lie on my bed;I will not give sleep to my eyes Or slumber to my eyelids,Until I find a place for the Lord, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

“ Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and they shall name Him Immanuel,” which translated means,“ God with us.”

And He said,“ Assuredly I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain.”

teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.

Now when Asa heard these words and the prophecy which Azariah the son of Oded the prophet spoke, he took courage and removed the abominable idols from all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and from the cities which he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim. He then restored the altar of the Lord which was in front of the porch of the Lord.And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and those from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who resided with them, for many defected to him from Israel when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.So they assembled at Jerusalem in the third month of the fifteenth year of Asa’s reign.They sacrificed to the Lord on that day seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep from the spoils they had brought.They entered into the covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and soul;and whoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel was to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman.

So Solomon did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, and did not follow the Lord fully, as his father David had done.

So David reigned over all Israel; and David administered justice and righteousness for all his people.

David became greater and greater, for the Lord God of armies was with him.

“ Is the Lord your God not with you? And has He not given you rest on every side? For He has handed over to me the inhabitants of the land, and the land is subdued before the Lord and before His people.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified nor dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

He walked in all the sins of his father which he had committed before him; and his heart was not wholly devoted to the Lord his God, like the heart of his father David.But for David’s sake the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to raise up his son after him and to establish Jerusalem,

And when the Lord raised up judges for them, the Lord was with the judge and saved them from the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for the Lord was moved to pity by their groaning because of those who tormented and oppressed them.

And Asa did what was good and right in the sight of the Lord his God,for he removed the foreign altars and high places, tore down the memorial stones, cut down the Asherim,and commanded Judah to seek the Lord God of their fathers and to comply with the Law and the commandment.He also removed the high places and the incense altars from all the cities of Judah. And the kingdom was undisturbed under him.

Then Asa called to the Lord his God and said,“ Lord, there is no one besides You to help in the battle between the powerful and those who have no strength; help us, Lord our God, for we trust in You, and in Your name have come against this multitude. Lord, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You.”

Then the sons of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord and served the Baals,

Then it came about, as soon as Gideon was dead, that the sons of Israel again committed infidelity with the Baals, and made Baal berith their god.

Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned for sixteen years in Jerusalem; and he did not do what was right in the sight of the Lord his God, as his father David had done.

And the Lord was with Joseph, so he became a successful man. And he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian.Now his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all that he did prosper in his hand.

But the Lord was with Joseph and extended kindness to him, and gave him favor in the sight of the warden of the prison.

He did what was right in the sight of the Lord, yet not like his father David; he acted in accordance with everything that his father Joash had done.
