The Lord was with Jehoshaphat because he followed the ways of his father David before him. He did not consult the Baals

The Lord was with Jehoshaphat. That’s because he lived the way King David had lived. He didn’t ask for advice from the gods that were named Baal.

The Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the earlier ways of his father David. He did not seek the Baals,

The Lord was with Jehoshaphat because he followed the example of his father’s early years and did not worship the images of Baal.

And he did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.

fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee; I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Take counsel together, and it shall be brought to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.

Jehovah of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.[ Selah

Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt speak.

And he did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that David his father had done.

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominations out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from the hill- country of Ephraim; and he renewed the altar of Jehovah, that was before the porch of Jehovah.And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and them that sojourned with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that Jehovah his God was with him.So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.And they sacrificed unto Jehovah in that day, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.And they entered into the covenant to seek Jehovah, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul;and that whosoever would not seek Jehovah, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

And Solomon did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, and went not fully after Jehovah, as did David his father.

And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed justice and righteousness unto all his people.

And when Jehovah raised them up judges, then Jehovah was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented Jehovah because of their groaning by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them.

And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of Jehovah his God:for he took away the foreign altars, and the high places, and brake down the pillars, and hewed down the Asherim,and commanded Judah to seek Jehovah, the God of their fathers, and to do the law and the commandment.Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the sun- images: and the kingdom was quiet before him.

And Asa cried unto Jehovah his God, and said, Jehovah, there is none besides thee to help, between the mighty and him that hath no strength: help us, O Jehovah our God; for we rely on thee, and in thy name are we come against this multitude. O Jehovah, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.

And the children of Israel did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, and served the Baalim;

And it came to pass, as soon as Gideon was dead, that the children of Israel turned again, and played the harlot after the Baalim, and made Baal- berith their god.

Twenty years old was Ahaz when he began to reign; and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: and he did not that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah his God, like David his father.

And Jehovah was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.And his master saw that Jehovah was with him, and that Jehovah made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

But Jehovah was with Joseph, and showed kindness unto him, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

And he did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, yet not like David his father: he did according to all that Joash his father had done.
