蓋耶和華之目遍及天下、凡專心向之者、必顯其力以助之、爾所行者愚也、今而後爾必有戰事、

主目遍鑒天下、凡誠心向主者、主力助之、爾於此事、所行愚昧、此後爾必有戰事、

For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war.”

The Lord looks out over the whole earth. He gives strength to those who commit their lives completely to him. You have done a foolish thing. From now on you will be at war.”

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. You have done foolishly in this, for from now on you will have wars.”

The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. What a fool you have been! From now on you will be at war.”

主靑睞義人、俯聽其祈、惟見行惡者、則罰之、

彼之所行、予鑒察之、彼惡昭彰、予目睹焉。

耶和華鑒察善惡、無不普遍。

誰藐視斯日、以為細故乎、此七燈乃耶和華七目、遍察天下、見所羅把伯執準繩、則喜、

人之所為、耶和華實鑒諸。

耶和華青睞義人、俯聞其祈兮、

上帝鑒察寰宇、知人所為。

故於上帝前、萬物不得隱、豁然顯露、均為鞫我之主所視焉、

主之經綸、奇而難名、主之智慧、大而莫測、鑒察斯人、視其所為、而加賞罰。

望爾晝夜、垂顧此殿、即爾曾許必為籲名之所、爾僕於此祈禱、爾其俯聞、

主自撝謙、俯察天地兮、

無知哉、加拉太人乎、爾不從真理、是誰所惑歟、我素於爾前、表明耶穌基督、釘十字架、無異在爾間、

王公諸伯、尚不可加以惡名、況乎上帝、貧富尊卑、視同一體、皆其所造者乎。

不見仁義之人、平康終吉兮、

撒母耳曰、爾所為者、違耶和華命、不智孰甚。昔耶和華欲立爾為以色列族王、永爾國祚、

大闢禱上帝曰、我所行者、大干罪戾、不智孰甚、求爾宥僕之過。

上帝曰、無知者乎、今夜將索爾魂、則所備者誰歸、

以色列王巴沙在位之事、與亞撒戰。○

拿單告大闢曰、作此者爾也。以色列族之上帝耶和華云、我沐爾以膏、為以色列王、援爾於掃羅手、得據爾主之業、取爾主之妻、以以色列猶大二族、畀爾治理、爾猶以為寡、我更給爾貨財、難以悉計。何藐視我命、行惡於我前、藉亞捫族之刃、殺赫人烏利亞、而取其妻為妻。爾既藐視我、以赫人烏利亞之妻為妻、人必以刃擊爾家、歷久不已。耶和華又云、我必使惡人生於爾家、爾之骨肉奪爾嬪妃、白晝宣淫、為爾目擊。爾隱行是惡、我將於以色列族前顯以報爾。

曰不智之徒、無慧者流、有目而不見、有耳而不聞、宜聽斯言。

耶和華歟、垂念我、行善於爾前、誠實無妄。祈畢哭甚哀。

曰、愚哉、爾所播之種、必化而後生、

然我語爾、無故怒兄弟者、難免乎刑官、詈兄弟曰拉加者、難免乎公會、詈兄弟曰魔利者、難免乎地獄之火、

以色列地之崇坵雖未廢、然亞撒誠心從事耶和華、終身不倦。
