Certainly the LORD watches the whole earth carefully and is ready to strengthen those who are devoted to him. You have acted foolishly in this matter; from now on you will have war.

耶和华的眼目遍察全地，要显大能帮助向他心存诚实的人。你这事行得愚昧；此后，你必有争战的事。”

因为耶和华的眼目遍察全地，要坚固向他存纯正之心的人。你在这事上行得愚昧；因此，以后你必有战争。”

永恆主的眼目在全地上看來看去；凡以純全之心向他的人、他就顯大權能去幫助他。在這一點上你幹了糊塗事了！從今以後、你總有戰事了。』

蓋耶和華之目遍及天下、凡專心向之者、必顯其力以助之、爾所行者愚也、今而後爾必有戰事、

耶和華遍覽天下、見誠心從之者、則力庇焉。爾弗以之是賴、不智孰甚、嗣後戰鬥、靡有已時。

主目遍鑒天下、凡誠心向主者、主力助之、爾於此事、所行愚昧、此後爾必有戰事、

For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war.”

The LORD pays attention to the godly and hears their cry for help.

For his eyes are on the ways of an individual, he observes all a person’s steps.

And no creature is hidden from God, but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must render an account.

You plan great things and you do mighty deeds. You see everything people do. You reward each of them for the way they live and for the things they do.

Night and day may you watch over this temple, the place where you promised you would live. May you answer your servant’s prayer for this place.

You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and you have taken his wife as your own! You have killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.So now the sword will never depart from your house. For you have despised me by taking the wife of Uriah the Hittite as your own!’This is what the LORD says:‘ I am about to bring disaster on you from inside your own household! Right before your eyes I will take your wives and hand them over to your companion. He will have sexual relations with your wives in broad daylight!Although you have acted in secret, I will do this thing before all Israel, and in broad daylight.’”

Tell them:‘ Hear this, you foolish people who have no understanding, who have eyes but do not discern, who have ears but do not perceive:

“ Please, LORD. Remember how I have served you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion, and how I have carried out your will.” Then Hezekiah wept bitterly.

Fool! What you sow will not come to life unless it dies.

But I say to you that anyone who is angry with a brother will be subjected to judgment. And whoever insults a brother will be brought before the council, and whoever says‘ Fool’ will be sent to fiery hell.

The high places were not eliminated from Israel, yet Asa was wholeheartedly devoted to the LORD throughout his lifetime.
