“ Let there be a treaty between me and you,” he said,“ as there was between my father and your father. See, I am sending you silver and gold. Now break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel so he will withdraw from me.”

“ Let’s make a peace treaty between us,” Asa said.“ My father and your father had made a peace treaty between them. Now I’m sending you silver and gold. So break your treaty with Baasha, the king of Israel. Then he’ll go back home.”

眾首領對全會眾說：「我們已經指着耶和華－以色列的神向他們起誓，現在我們不能害他們。我們要如此待他們，容他們活着，免得有忿怒因我們所起的誓臨到我們身上。」

他輕看誓言，背棄盟約，已經投降，卻又做這一切的事，他必不能逃脫。」所以主耶和華如此說：「我指着我的永生起誓，他既輕看指我所起的誓，背棄指我所立的約，我必要使這罪歸在他頭上。

禍哉！那些下埃及求幫助的，是因仗賴馬匹，倚靠甚多的車輛，並倚靠強壯的馬兵，卻不仰望以色列的聖者，也不求問耶和華。其實，耶和華有智慧；他必降災禍，並不反悔自己的話，卻要興起攻擊那作惡之家，又攻擊那作孽幫助人的。埃及人不過是人，並不是神；他們的馬不過是血肉，並不是靈。耶和華一伸手，那幫助人的必絆跌，那受幫助的也必跌倒，都一同滅亡。

摩西對亞倫說：「這百姓向你做了甚麼？你竟使他們陷在大罪裏！」

無知的、背約的、無親情的、不憐憫人的。他們雖知道神判定行這樣事的人是當死的，然而他們不但自己去行，還喜歡別人去行。

你們也不可與這地的居民立約，要拆毀他們的祭壇。你們竟沒有聽從我的話！為何這樣行呢？』

亞比米勒召了亞伯拉罕來，對他說：「你怎麼向我這樣行呢？我在甚麼事上得罪了你，你竟使我和我國裏的人陷在大罪裏？你向我行不當行的事了！」亞比米勒又對亞伯拉罕說：「你見了甚麼才做這事呢？」

先見哈拿尼的兒子耶戶出來迎接約沙法王，對他說：「你豈當幫助惡人，愛那恨惡耶和華的人呢？因此耶和華的忿怒臨到你。

神的殿和偶像有甚麼相同呢？因為我們是永生神的殿，就如神曾說：我要在他們中間居住，在他們中間來往；我要作他們的神；他們要作我的子民。

他眼中藐視匪類，卻尊重那敬畏耶和華的人。他發了誓，雖然自己吃虧也不更改。

原來這基遍人不是以色列人，乃是亞摩利人中所剩的；以色列人曾向他們起誓，不殺滅他們，掃羅卻為以色列人和猶大人發熱心，想要殺滅他們。大衛王召了他們來，

以色列王亞哈問猶大王約沙法說：「你肯同我去攻取基列的拉末嗎？」他回答說：「你我不分彼此，我的民與你的民一樣，必與你同去爭戰。」

無親情，不解怨，好說讒言，不能自約，性情凶暴，不愛良善，
