又招聚犹大、便雅悯的众人，并他们中间寄居的以法莲人、玛拿西人、西缅人。有许多以色列人归降亚撒，因见耶和华他的神与他同在。

以色列族見上帝耶和華眷祐亞撒、以法蓮、馬拿西、西面三族之賓旅、多歸焉。亞撒召之、亦召猶大便雅憫族眾、於十五年三月、俱至耶路撒冷。

招聚猶大便雅憫人眾、及旅其中之以法蓮人、瑪拿西人、西緬人、蓋歸降亞撒之以色列人甚眾、因見主其天主祐之、

Then he assembled all Judah and Benjamin and the people from Ephraim, Manasseh and Simeon who had settled among them, for large numbers had come over to him from Israel when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.

Then Asa gathered together all the people of Judah and Benjamin. He also gathered together the people from Ephraim, Manasseh and Simeon who were living among them. Large numbers of people had come over to him from Israel. They came because they saw that the Lord his God was with him.

And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and those from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who were residing with them, for great numbers had deserted to him from Israel when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.

Then Asa called together all the people of Judah and Benjamin, along with the people of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who had settled among them. For many from Israel had moved to Judah during Asa’s reign when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.

Then he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, as well as those from the tribes of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who were residing among them, for they had defected to him from Israel in great numbers when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.

And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and those from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who resided with them, for many defected to him from Israel when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.

Then he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and those who dwelt with them from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon, for they came over to him in great numbers from Israel when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.

And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and them that sojourned with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that Jehovah his God was with him.

Then he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, as well as those from the tribes of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who had settled among them, for they had defected to him from Israel in great numbers when they saw that Yahweh his God was with him.

And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God[ was] with him.

He assembled all Judah and Benjamin, as well as the settlers from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who had come to live with them. Many people from Israel had come there to live when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.

He gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and those who lived with them out of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon; for they came to him out of Israel in abundance when they saw that Yahweh his God was with him.

以色列各支派中那些誠心尋求以色列的上帝耶和華的人，都跟隨利未人到耶路撒冷獻祭給他們祖先的上帝耶和華。

當時，猶太、加利利、撒瑪利亞各地的教會都很平安，得到了堅固。信徒們非常敬畏主，又得到聖靈的安慰，人數越來越多。

從前，大衛和非利士人一同去攻打掃羅的時候，有些瑪拿西人來投奔大衛。但大衛及其部下沒有幫助非利士人作戰，因為非利士人的首領商議後，害怕大衛拿著非利士人的頭顱去歸順他的主人掃羅，便讓他們走了。

以色列人聽見王這樣斷案，都敬畏他，因為他們知道他有上帝所賜的智慧，可以秉公執法。

掃羅知道耶和華與大衛同在，自己的女兒米甲也愛他，

他主人看出耶和華與他同在，使他凡事亨通，

猶大全體會眾、祭司、利未人和從以色列來的全體會眾，以及寄居在以色列和猶大的人盡都歡喜。

希西迦派人通告以色列和猶大全境，又寫信通知以法蓮人和瑪拿西人，叫他們到耶路撒冷耶和華的殿，向以色列的上帝耶和華守逾越節。王、眾官員及耶路撒冷的全體會眾決定在二月守逾越節。他們不能在一月守節期，因為潔淨自己的祭司不夠多，民眾也沒有聚集在耶路撒冷。王與全體會眾都很贊成這個計劃。於是，他們下令通告全以色列，從別示巴直到但，讓人們到耶路撒冷向以色列的上帝耶和華守逾越節，因為人們不常照律例守這節期。信差遵照王的命令帶著王和眾官員的信走遍以色列和猶大，宣告說：「以色列人啊，你們應當歸向亞伯拉罕、以撒和以色列的上帝耶和華，好使祂轉向你們這些從亞述王手中逃脫的餘民。不要效法你們的祖先和親族，他們對他們祖先的上帝耶和華不忠，以致耶和華使他們的下場很可怕，正如你們所見的。現在，不要像你們的祖先那樣頑固不化；要順服耶和華，進入祂永遠聖潔的聖所，事奉你們的上帝耶和華，好使祂的烈怒轉離你們。你們若歸向祂，你們的弟兄和兒女必蒙擄走他們之人的憐憫，得以回歸此地，因為你們的上帝耶和華有恩典，好憐憫。你們若歸向祂，祂必不會轉臉不顧你們。」信差將這通告逐城傳遍以法蓮和瑪拿西，直到西布倫，可是那些地方的人卻嘲笑、戲弄他們。然而，有些亞設人、瑪拿西人和西布倫人謙卑悔改，來到耶路撒冷。

這一城的居民必到那一城，說，我們快去向耶和華求恩，去尋求萬軍之耶和華吧！我自己也去。各民族和各強國必來耶路撒冷尋求萬軍之耶和華，向耶和華求恩。那時，十個來自列國、講不同語言的人必拉住一個猶大人的衣角，說，讓我們跟你們同去吧，因為我們聽說上帝與你們同在。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。』」

從此，以色列人反叛大衛家，一直到今天。

「先祖們嫉妒自己的弟弟約瑟，把他賣到了埃及。但上帝一直與他同在，救他脫離一切危難，又賜他過人的智慧，使他在埃及法老面前得到恩寵，官拜宰相治理全國，並管理王室。
