All Judah rejoiced about the oath because they had sworn it wholeheartedly. They sought God eagerly, and he was found by them. So the Lord gave them rest on every side.

All the people of Judah were happy about the promise they had made. They turned to God with all their heart. When they did, they found him. So the Lord gave them peace and rest on every side.

他對猶大人說：“我們要建造這些城，在四周築牆，建造城樓，安設城門，製作門閂。這地還屬於我們，是因為我們尋求耶和華我們的神；我們既然尋求他，他就使我們四境平安。”於是他們興工建造，事事順利。

但他們在遭難的時候，回轉歸向耶和華以色列的神，尋求他，他就給他們尋見。

他們也立約，要一心一意尋求耶和華他們列祖的神。

我們引以為榮的，就是我們處世為人，是本著神的聖潔和真誠，不是靠著人的聰明，而是靠著神的恩典，對你們更是這樣，這是我們的良心可以作證的。

因為事情很快辦完，希西家和全體人民因神為他的子民所預備的，都甚歡樂。

耶何耶大與眾民和王立約，要他們作耶和華的子民。於是眾民都去到巴力廟，把廟拆毀，打碎祭壇和偶像，又在祭壇前殺了巴力的祭司瑪坦。耶何耶大把看守耶和華殿的責任，交在利未支派的祭司手裡；這些利未支派的祭司是大衛分派在耶和華的殿中，照著摩西的律法所記的，給耶和華獻燔祭，又照著大衛所定的，歡樂歌唱。他又設立守門的看守耶和華殿的各門，無論為了甚麼事，不潔淨的人，都不能進去。他率領百夫長、貴族、民間的官長和國民，又把王從耶和華的殿領下來，從“上門”進入王宮，擁立王坐在王位上。於是全國的人民都歡樂，全城也都寧靜；因為他們把亞他利雅用刀殺了。

我沒有在隱密處、在黑暗之地說過話；我沒有對雅各的後裔說過：‘你們尋求我是徒然的。’我耶和華講說公義，宣揚正直。

我處於兩難之間，情願離世與基督同在，因為那是好得無比的。

他若安靜不動，誰能定他有罪呢？他若掩面，誰能看見他呢？無論對待一國或一人，都是這樣。

你和利未人，以及住在你們中間的外族人，都要因耶和華你的神賜給你和你的家的一切好處而歡樂。

耶和華啊！我們等候你那審判的路徑；你的名字和稱號，都是我們心裡所愛慕的。

現在我心中有意要和耶和華以色列的神立約，好使他的震怒轉離我們。

耶和華使以色列人得享平安，不受四圍仇敵的騷擾，已經有一段很長的日子；約書亞已經老了，年紀不小了。

這國攻擊那國，這城攻擊那城，因為神用各樣災難使他們紛亂。

亞撒利雅就出來迎接亞撒，對他說：“亞撒和猶大、便雅憫所有的人哪！請聽我說。你們跟隨耶和華，耶和華就和你們同在；你們尋求他，就必給你們尋見；你們離棄他，他必離棄你們。

省長尼希米和祭司兼經學家以斯拉，以及教導人民明白律法的利未人對眾民說：“今天是耶和華你們的神的聖日，你們不要悲哀哭泣。”因為眾人聽見律法書上的話，都哭了。

智慧的道路盡是歡悅，智慧的路徑全是平安。

義人哪！你們要靠著耶和華歡喜快樂；所有心裡正直的人哪！你們都要歡呼。

我曾起誓，並且堅守誓言，我必遵守你公義的典章。

我以你的法度為我永遠的產業；因為它們是我心中的喜樂。
