All who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman.

All those who wouldn’t obey the Lord, the God of Israel, would be killed. It wouldn’t matter how important they were. It wouldn’t matter whether they were men or women.

but that whoever would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether young or old, man or woman.

They agreed that anyone who refused to seek the Lord, the God of Israel, would be put to death— whether young or old, man or woman.

Whoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel would be put to death, young or old, man or woman.

「向別神獻祭，不單單獻給耶和華的，那人必要滅絕。

凡敬畏耶和華的，無論大小，主必賜福給他。

以利亞對他們說：「拿住巴力的先知，不讓任何人逃走！」眾人就拿住他們。以利亞帶他們到基順河邊，在那裏殺了他們。

那先知或那做夢的人要被處死，因為他出言悖逆那領你們出埃及地、救贖你脫離為奴之家的耶和華－你們的上帝，要引誘你離開耶和華－你上帝吩咐你要行的道。這樣，你就把惡從你中間除掉。「你的同胞兄弟，或是你的兒女，或是你懷中的妻，或是如同自己性命的朋友，若暗中引誘你，說：『我們去事奉別神吧。』那是你和你列祖所不認識的，你四圍列國的神明，無論是離你近或離你遠，從地這邊到地那邊，你都不可附和他，也不要聽從他。你的眼不可顧惜他，不可憐憫他，也不可袒護他。你務必殺他；你先下手，然後眾百姓才下手，把他處死。要用石頭打死他，因為他想引誘你離開那領你出埃及地為奴之家的耶和華－你的上帝。全以色列都要聽見而害怕，不敢在你中間再行這樣的惡事了。「若你聽見人說，在耶和華－你上帝所賜給你居住的城鎮中的一座，有些無賴之徒從你中間出來，引誘本城的居民，說：『我們去事奉別神吧。』那是你們不認識的，你就要調查，探聽，細心詢問。看哪，是真的，確實有這可憎的事在你中間發生，你務必用刀殺那城裏的居民，把城裏所有的，連牲畜都用刀滅盡。

惟恐你們中間有人，或男或女，或宗族或支派，今日心裏偏離耶和華－我們的上帝，去事奉那些國的神明，又怕你們中間有根長出苦菜和茵蔯來。

「在你中間，在耶和華－你上帝所賜你的各城中，任何一座城裏，若有男人或女人做了耶和華－你上帝眼中看為惡的事，違背了他的約，去事奉別神，敬拜它們，或拜太陽，或拜月亮，或拜天上的萬象，是我不曾吩咐的。有人告訴你，你也聽見了，就要細心探聽。看哪，是真的，確實有這可憎的事在以色列中發生，你就要將行這惡事的男人或女人拉到城門外，用石頭把這男人或女人處死。

然而，我蒙上帝的幫助，直到今日還站立得穩，向尊貴的和卑微的作見證。我所講的，並不外乎眾先知和摩西所說將來必成的事，

我又看見死了的人，無論大小，都站在寶座前。案卷都展開了，並另有一卷展開，就是生命冊。死了的人都憑着這些案卷所記載的，照他們所行的受審判。

他待王子不徇情面，也不看重富足的過於貧寒的，因為他們都是他手所造的。

到了半夜，耶和華把埃及地所有頭生的，就是從坐寶座的法老，到關在牢裏的人的長子，以及一切頭生的牲畜，盡都殺了。

大的小的都在那裏，奴僕脫離主人得自由。

他們擊打門外的人，無論老少，都眼睛迷糊，找門找得很煩躁。

地上的君王、臣宰、將軍、富戶、壯士，和一切為奴的、自主的，都藏在山洞和巖石穴裏，
